What is the best rate you have gotten for a room at akl withour AP?

We're thinking of spliting an 11 night stay in Jan form the 27th -Feb 7th. We'll start out at Pop with 2 rooms and then switch to Akl for the last 4-5 nights for DH but only one room. We're getting the 2 rooms at POP for 140.50 per night including tax. is it possible to think we could get AKL for maybe 160 per night for one room? Any help or ideas appreciated!!

We stayed at the AKL in Jan of 2004 and got the elusive $109/nite rate ($123 with tax) for a standard room from a post card. We needed 2 rooms so thank goodness for that rate!! The best thing was we ended up getting UPGRADED to savannah view rooms!!
