I used to do rewards programs a loonnnnggg time ago (Free Ride, anyone?) and made a bit of money. I quit a few years ago when Free Ride was gutted and MyPoints wasn't doing great.

I thought I would like to re-start ONE program this summer. Which one would it be? Are there any tips for a specific program other than opening up a new junk email address? Are there any other websites for help and hints for your favorite program?

Thanks everyone!

well, I really like Sunshine Rewards just because the site works well. Things seem to credit easily and often, Tricia is very accessible if you have questions etc. I think my 2nd Favorite site is Treasure Troopers. They have a nice setup there also and have been around long enough that they've worked most of the bugs out. I also use CashDuck. Kira often has higher payouts than the other sites. I've been trying to use Quick Rewards, but with the site moving and some other things, I just don't find his site very intuitive, so it is kind of last on my list and I often just don't get around to it.

Yes, I use a new and different email for each site. Learn how to do the gmail period moving around trick - it helps alot.

Go to

http://www.privatephone.com

and get a phone number to give out (free).

also - I have a thread down there about how to get Roboform for free. You can fill all your info in once on Roboform and then just fill out all the name and address forms with one click instead of typing it over and over. I highly recommend it.

You are also going to want a really good cooke cleaner (I use CCCleaner) and a Spyware remover - I use AVG Spyware. I run both of those nightly overnight.

Eventually you might want to check into prepaid debit cards etc, but for right now I'd just stick with the free offers.

All great suggestions :thumbsup2

My 2 favorite programs are Sunshine Rewards and Cash Duck. Between the 2 I have made over $2,000 in about a year (most of that being in the past 3 months!) That total does include a good bit from paid offers but there is also plenty in there from free stuff as well.

There is a bit of a shake-up going on in the RP world right now so I would hold off on doing any big offers right now. Stick with the free stuff and once the air clears start doing some of the paid offers (if you want.)

Good Luck :)

I love Sunshine rewards. The forum over there is very helpful. It is a very user-friendly site and where I started. I'm glad I started there first otherwise I might have given up on the whole reward program thing.

I agree with the above. If you start with one in MUST be Sunshine Rewards. Tricia, the owner, is so easy to work with. She answers any questions and works real hard to get your credit. She also keeps us all informed. Now if you were brand new to the RP world I would say try that one for about 2 months until you get a good feel for the offers before you do another site but since you are not new you should get the hang of SR pretty fast.

OK! I just signed up for Sunshine Rewards and got caught up in one of the lose endless "click yes/no" for offers loops that went on and on and on ... until I finally closed the window in desperation. How far do I have to go into a free click to get the credit? Am I off the hook once a new website picks up?

Oh, and I got my first 3 SPAMS from that website too! I answered "no" to everything but still got some very handy foreclosure information, LOL!

that's a good question. My general rule is that for offers less than 50 cents, I do the first one or two pages, I'm not going to spend more time than that for 35cents. Those offers seem to be usually skimming for new email addresses to sell.

From 50 cents to 2.00, I usually go to a page where you'll see something like

"Congratulations! You've now qualified for.....please complete our optional"

Also - as your filling out the stuff, look for the questions that have * which separate the questions which are required from the optionals. You only have to answer the required questions. Also just close down all those additional browser windows that open up. Those are leading you away from the offer that you are doing.

You can always put something into your pending folder and see if it credits. If you don't see anything for 3 or 4 days, delete it from your pending folder and at that point you can try it again.

I just finish those stupid offers. I figure they don't take that long and I'm use to them by now. I just make sure I'm in the mood for those offers when I click on them.

I'm signed up for just about all the programs. Personally, I don't care for Sunshine Rewards as much as most people. It's ok, but I've found that money can be made much faster at some of the other sites. I like Treasure Trooper and CashDuck the best.

Ok, this may be a stupid question. Do you have to pay taxes on this money at the end of the year? I assume yes.

If you earn more then 600 a year then technically yes. I know each site has their own rules about what things count towards that 600 dollars though

Per the IRS any money you earn has to be reported and taxes must be paid. Each site usually has a $600 trigger point in which they require you to fill out and return a form W-9 when you are close to the $600 point or they will refuse to pay you any more. What you decide to do if you make less than $600 on a site is your choice.

Hope that helps.
