What is the best magic you've ever received....

Free upgrade from Grand Floridian regular room (no view) to RPC for my husband's first trip.

On our first trip my DD, now 7 then 4, wore her Birthday button. As we were walking in the area behind Cinderella's castle a cast member walk up to her with this giant chocolate chip cookie and says: "Belle just sent me down from the kitchen and asked me to give this to you" my daughter was in shock and she just sort of stood there with the cookie in her hand. The CM said "happy birthday, I have to run back inside".

DD turns slowly and says to us "Belle knows I'm here and she sent us a cookie!" She had such a look of genuine amazement, it was priceless

One of the coolest moment we've had in the parks

That happened to my daughter this past January. So sweet.

Last summer, my DD had her very first trip to Disney. I don't know if it was blind luck or the pixies looking out for us but she was chosen for just about every interactive activity. From fighting Darth Vader, to being chosen as the Beast in Enchanted Tales, and asking questions to Crush. Seeing the look in her eyes of being absolutely pulled into the Disney world was probably the greatest feeling I've ever had.

...for wearing a Birthday/Anniversary/First Time/Etc. button?

My son got picked to drive the boat in Jungle Cruise on his birthday. It looked like his smile was going to jump off his face. I have never seen his shine like that.

My daughter had two great experiences. First, she got the cookie outside the castle like another explained above. They said it was from Cinderella to celebrate her birthday. Amazing stuff.

Then in Talking with Crush, the turtle led the whole crowd in singing happy birthday to my daughter.

Its hit or miss, but it can be wonderful.

We have only worn pins one time and got a lot of "Congrats" but not really any extra pixie dust. All the magical moments just seemed completely random-DD's "opening" Animal Kingdom several years ago, playing instruments with Mulch, Sweat & Sheers, DH having a part in a "movie production at Studios, and the best magical moment was randomly being chose to be Grand Marshalls at Magic Kingdom! :cloud9:

This is our first trip to WDW, so we should wear a button or something? Where would one get one? Or are these home made? Hmmmm...

Other than a "happy birthday" from CMs, we've never gotten anything. So I always tell people not to expect upgrades or front of the line or anything.

They give them out for free at the Disney hotel desks, ticket counters and guest services - all you have to do us ask! People try to sell them on eBay for $$$, but they are very easy to get at Disney for free :)

The year that Disney was having the 'get in free on your birthday' promo, my DH was the first person at ANY Disney Park worldwide to get his free pass. Because of that, we were let into the MK early so they could take pictures of us walking down Main Street, in front of the castle, etc. He got a huge birthday card, we were Grand Marshals of the parade and receive Mouse Ears with our name on them. It was really cool!

Last year was our first trip and we were celebrating DD 4th Birthday. They made it most special for her our 1st park day at AK! While waiting in line for Finding Nemo a CM picked us out so we could have "the best seats in the house." Right up front where Dory & Marlon came right up to her face! Then at Pizzafari, we were having lunch and a CM emptying the trash saw us through the window. He came back a few minutes later and asked "if a princess at our table was celebrating her birthday", when she said yes he pulled out a birthday cupcake. The smile on her face could make me cry right now! Lol We also went to meet Pooh and Tigger and waited in line for awhile, it was so hot and she was getting cranky. Our turn came and Pooh was SO happy to see her! The CM had us all sing Happy Birthday while she and Pooh danced. Again another tear jerking moment. Best day ever she says :)

You can get them at City Hall on Main Street USA at Magic Kingdom (to the left when you enter). This is the guest services location for MK.

Our magical moment wasn't because of a button, but because my daughter was dressed up as her favorite princess. We had visited Tiana weeks prior (who my daughter adores) and I mentioned I was sewing my DD a Tiana dress. Princess Tiana is always so sweet with my little one, and she said to please make sure we came to see her when the dress was done. Well, I finished it and we were in line to see Princess Tiana when a CM approached us in line and asked if we would mind waiting til the end of the line to see her because Tiana wanted to make sure she could spend a special moment with my DD. We said sure and waited, and when we got up there Tiana had a special present waiting for my daughter. Hidden in her beautiful flowers was a little white box and inside was a gorgeous Princess Tiana flower slipper ornament. It's a keepsake we will always treasure! :flower3:

You sewed that? Wow! Great job :)

In August 2013, we had reserved a Preferred Room at Coronado Springs for eight nights. I had put on the reservation we were celebrating my birthday, and our 28th Wedding Anniversary, I don't know if that's the reason, but we were upgraded to Water View Junior Suite, it was amazing.
