What is the best hopping order for 1 day?

Staying at Royal Pacific friday night and sat night in July, leaving a long saturday to hop from park to park. Of the 8 of us (4 kids), we mostly prefer IOA (DD, HULK, SPIDER ETC) but since we will have FOTL access, we would like to hit Universal park as well for Term, M in B, water park etc. Does anyone know if we take a boat from RPR or walk to the parks? Also do we get off the boat closer to one park? Kinda thinking IOA until noon, then US until 5, then IOA to close. Thanks for any input.

The boat canal is open and if the boats are running they drop you off in the lagoon at citywalk, equi-distance from USF and IOA.
