The big problem with people bringing their own bubbles for the sailaway party is that some people bring the kind that turns into a sticky mess if they get on clothing or in hair. Other passengers will not appreciate that! I agree that Disney provides plenty of entertainment (including that they have a bubble making machine during the sailaway party) and kids and adults should find plenty to entertain them.
2-way radios can come in handy if you really need them, but they can be extremely annoying if abused by kids or adults. I am NOT accusing anyone here of bad radio etiquette, but on too many sailings I've been surrounded by squaking handhelds and guests walking by saying "Can you hear me now?" or kids just hanging out everywhere on the ship and chatting loudly over their radios. It's like a bad cell phone commercial. Use them if you need to, but please have consideration for passengers who cruise to escape technology for awhile instead of carry it with them. Thanks.
