What is the best place for us to take our 3 year old for breakfast with the characters? A girl I work with says Chef Mickey, but I've also been told Donald's Safari Character Breakfast. Are either of these the best or is another in your opinion?

Last Thurs we did Cape May Cafe (7:50am) with 6 kids - 8, 10, 10, 14, 16 & 17. It was nice & food was good, but it took a while for the characters to come around and we had to slow down a bit so that the kids could take photos with Minnie. Goofy came into the room we were in several times as each new family was seated, then Dale took a photo with us. DNephew was collecting Chip & Dale pins and wanted to take a photo with Chip as well, but although we spotted him near a table when we first arrived, he dissappeared after we were seated and never came to our table.

On Friday we did Crystal Palace (8:15am) and everyone thought that was a much better experience. We added 2 more kids - 4 & 6 and 4 more adults and were split onto 2 tables. The characters were more interactive and came around much faster and the food was great (I was a little nervous since I had done the dinner there last August with eight 13 year old girls and they weren't thrilled with the food). :thumbsup2 My absolute favorite item on the buffet was in the kids section... not sure what they were called, but the were a cross between bignets, zeppoli & funnel cake! Yum! :cloud9:

I love Crystal Palace! The characters are very quick in making their rounds and I have to say the food was great! The fruit was fresh and the those cinnamon puffy things are amazing, I can't remember what they are called.

it can depend, sometimes, on the location 'you" will be at. Like Chef Mickeys, we like it and have a great time there, then a quick hop on the monarail and we are off to Magic Kingdom or Epcot. If you want to start in Magic Kingdom and arent looking for Mickey at breakfast and pooh will do, the Crystal Palace is awesome!
If you are going to Animal Kingdom for the day the Donalds Safari Breakfast will do the trick, havent been to the new one yet (will be in 15 days:banana: ) but we loved the old version of it and we like starting Animal Kingdom day that way!
So sometimes its all about location, location, location! hope that helps!
Have Fun :cool1:

Crystal Palace is a must do for our family . If your little one likes Pooh at all I would highly recommend it. The atmosphere is A++, we always seem to get a view of the castle. The food is really good with lots of choices for everyone. And the character interaction is fabulous.

My second favorite is Ohana they have Lilo & Stitch now. The food is served family style and we loved the breakfast sausage there. Also had a view of the castle at a window seat.

Whatever you choose, I am pretty sure you will enjoy it.

Best Wishes!

Boma's breakfast buffet looked very good.

Boma doesn't have characters thought.

Crystal Palace is by far our favorite character breakfast. We are trying Cape May Cafe for the first time this year, but I don't think it will surpass Crystal Palace in our hearts.

Add another vote for Crystal Palace. The best part of it, for us, was that it opened before the park, so we got early ADRs and then were at the calm rope drop at Fantasyland - first ones on Dumbo!

My personal favorite is Ohana, but Tusker House is a very close second.
