What is the Best Book you've ever read?

That's tough. I guess I'd have to say To Kill a Mockingbird.

So far, it's been The Grapes of Wrath. I've read lots of other books that have been good, but that one has remained at the top of my list.

THere is just no way I can pick ONE book

I don't know its like picking whos your favorite child ~ Jane Eyre, Gone with the Wind, PRide and Prejudice :scared1:I can't do it

I can't pick one, but I'll give you my top faves:

To Kill a Mockingbird
Outlander
Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons
Moloka'i
Range of Motion
The Lovely Bones
Bridget Jones Diary
Gone with the Wind

Other than the Bible, probably Ishmael by Daniel Quinn

It's a tie:

Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden
and
She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb

My favorite books today are Water for Elephants and The Time Traveler's Wife. But I have a favorite old book that I read every couple of years, it's Thurston House by Danielle Steele. Even though I don't usually read her books, Thurston House has been an a favorite of mine for more than 20 years.

One of my favorites is, The Mirror Cracked, by Agatha Christie.

The Stand by Stephen King.

Yup, that's one of my "if you were stranded on a desert island" books. Others would be Gone With the Wind, Strangers (Dean Koontz) and probably Raptor & Aztec by Gary Jennings - an incredible author, but NOT for the faint-hearted. ;)

Probably Lonesome Dove. I reread it every other year or so and still cry at the end.

The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho. (But I love several of those that others have mentioned!)
