Hi everyone, I have a question. I just made a reservation from Feb. 1-6 at Disney's pop century resort. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what discount I could get with a AAA card. The lady I talked to told me she couldnt give me a discount amount without knowing my AAA number. I told her I didn't have one, but would get one if I could save some money on the room. I was hoping that AP holders rates would come out because I would like to upgrade to a moderate resort if I could get it for cheaper. Should I go ahead and get the AAA card now or wait longer to see if AP rates come out? If I wait to get the AAA card, how long after I sign up for it would it be before I could use it to get the discount on my hotel?

I appreciate any help anyone can provide me with! This will be my second trip to Disney and my first time staying onsite!

Thanks everyone,
Kim

AAA rate is about $68.00 per night. I have a 4 day reservation for $310.00 which includes tax. Don't know about AP rate tho. You could always make the reservation, and then change it if you find something better. As long as you do it within the appropriate time frame.

Thanks drp4video, do you know how long it takes for the AAA card to come in, or do they give you your number right away?

Thanks again,
Kim

ktyler1320, I got the AAA number right over the phone after I applied. I believe that the card arrived within one week.:wave2:

ktyler1320, you actually get a your number instantly if you buy it online!!!! You can print out a temp card immediately. I did that last year just for the discounts!!!!

Thanks for the replies, I will wait then and just get the AAA card at the last minute if I have to.

Congrads on going!
One thing I do want to say is just make sure they have the AAA rate avalible before you purchase the membership.
(AAA only has so many discounted rooms to offer, and after they are taken they can only book at regular rate.)
I am sure that you wont have any problems, but it never hurts to be cautious.
With that said, Have Fun!!!

The AAA discount for the moderates for stays beginning by Feb. 11 (value season) is 20 % off rack rate.

I currently have a reesie at a moderate for a 1/31 check in. For a standard view the cost is $118.60 per night including taxes.

magsmom, is that with the AAA discount? That's not a bad price, I really want a moderate hotel. I may think about switching and paying the extra.

Thanks
Kim
