What is the $500 Port & shopping giveaway activity

I was watching a cruise vlog and they were scroll in the app on embarkation day and noticed an activity called $500 Port & shopping giveaway. Anyone know what this is or it entails?

The shopping hosts will do a show where they talk about what you can do in the various ports. They will make some recommendations of places that you should go. They will give away some prizes. Generally, it’s touristy kinds of things from the shops in the ports, but sometimes they do give away a piece of jewelry. If you’re at all interested in learning about shopping at the port, you might find the program interesting. If you’re not interested in shopping, then there’s no reason to go.
