Favorite ride : Space Mountain (MK) (worst - Stitch - MK)

Favorite show: Lion King (AK) (worst - Pocahontas - AK)

Favorite snack: Dole Whip (MK) (worst - turkey legs-MK)

Favorite meal: Boma's (AKL) (worst - Cinderella's castle)

Favorite character meal : Chef Mickey's (worst - Cindy's breakfast/lunch)

Favorite "adult" fun - Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk! - any adult time is fun!

I HAVE to second the Dole Whip and Jellyrolls- These are definitely 2 of my fave things at WDW!

At MK: There's so much! Pirates of the Caribbean is always a favourite of mine. Winnie-the-Pooh is also great fun.
At EPCOT: Spaceship Earth. It's a classic, never gets old.
At MGM: Fantasmic!!! It's jsut so magical!
AT AK: Kilomanjaro Safaris. This is laods of fun...

There's so much to do at the World... it's hard to narrow it down!!!

Have a great trip,
merfsko

Can't miss -

Adults - World Showcase, Who wants to be a Millionaire? Play it!, Adventurer's Club

Kids - Peter Pan, Dumbo, Mickey's Philharmagic

Must sees (besides above) -
MK-Splash Mountain, TTA, Fantasyland attractions (yup all well except carrousel), Haunted Mansion, Pirates

Epcot - Spaceship Earth, Test Track

MGM - Tower of Terror

AK - Safari, Dinosaur, I'm sure Expedition:Everest

I also yhink yhat Fantasmic may be a little much for your four year old. We're heading to Disney in March with our 1 1/2 year old and we'll be sending the rest of our family (both sets of grand parents) off to see Fantasmic without us.

MGM also has a Playhouse Disney show that your 4YO might like.

I agree with Mickey's Philharmagic. We love the Pooh ride. If you need something quiet to do with your littlest, there is story time with Belle near the castle.

There's really something for everyone. We're looking forward to some of the stage shows, like Lion King, and Beauty and the Beast, our DD loves shows like that, we've seen Sesame Street Live and the Wiggles in preparation for this trip and she's loved both shows.

Enjoy your vacation!

Definately Soarin' at Epcot! Try to take advantage of AM Magic hours if doable if not make that 1st on your plan for the day at Epcot!

MK- buzz lightyear ride
Epcot - Test track :hyper:
MGM - RNR :crazy2:
AK - Dinosaur :scared:
dining - Le Cellier ::yes::
Other - HDDR :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

If you plan on both kids going on the rides that the younger one wants....am i making sense. For example, we didn't go on Goofy's barnstromer before SpaceMountain. Mistake. DD6 would have loved the barnstormer if we had done it before space mountain, but thought it was boring afterwards....while your 4 yr old will probably love it, your 8 yr old may not (may not even want to go on at all.....depends on the child). We tried to do most of the more Kiddie type rides first, and early in the day, but missed the barnstormer and did it on a 2nd day.
Figure out what your childrens favorite characters are--for DD6 it was Ariel, so we saw her in her grotto (hence not finishing the kiddie rides the first am) and at MGM saw her show--one of DD6's fav attractions.

DD6's favs: (she was almost 7 and 48 in when we went)
Test Track, Fireworks, Space Mountain, Ariel attraction at MGM, Lights motor Action! at MGM, making a mask at Epcot

least favs: the Great Movie Ride--she HATED IT and remembers it's name just so she can say exactly what she hated! (She thought the gangster guy was really "hijacking" the ride, and she was seated right behind him, shaking with fear--calmed down a bit when he saw her and whispered in a non-gangser voice that he was just pretending)

DH Favs
Epcot, food and beer at epcot, Test Track

Me, Soarin (along with DD10, who uses a wheelchair), food at epcot, Crystal Palace, Mickey's Philharmagic--I just loved being THERE in the World!

I think a #1 must see at WDW is the view from The California Grill in the Contemporary resort. It's priceless!

1st Time Going To Wdw And Pretty Excited. We Are Taking Our Kids 8 & 4 In Beginning Of Feb 06. What Must We See. Have Character Meals Reserved Already For 4 Days. What Attractions, Show, Rides, Must We Do?

Big Thunder Railroad...Fun fun fun!!!! There are no large drops, just fast and fun. My kids liked it when they were that age. You may have to "swap" with someone with the four year old if she is not tall enough. But she may be...

A word of advice. Unless you have really really REALLY brave kids, I would skip a Bugs Life in AK and Honey I shrunk the audiance (or read some reviews first, some people like it). In one I got "stung" by a bee and in the other I had "mice" crawling across my feet. My daughter who was 8 at the time had to be escorted out becuase she was so scared. Again though, read reviews and decide for yourself, but I really wish someone had told me...LOL.

This is what I had in the "family travel newsletter" that I have put together for our group that contains many 1st timers, and all age groups.

Borrowing the concept from david letterman, following is a "top 10 list" of things not to miss during your trip...

10. A character meal
9. Visit several wdw resorts
8. Extra magic evening hours
7. Disney quest
6. Lights, motors, action extreme stunt show
5. Festival of the lion king
4. Wishes
3. Illuminations
2. Spectromagic parade
1. Fantasmic
