Thanks Everyone. Sounds Like Philarmagic Is Something Everyone Enjoys. .

My 4.5 dd thought it was way too LOUD. She had to leave in the middle of the show. She is more sensitive to noise than a lot of kids her age, but not extremely so. Just thought I'd warn ya.

My DD8 hates all of the 3-D shows - they all seem to puff air or water at you, which she hates for some reason. This, of course, is the same kid who would spend her whole day on Tower of Terror and Rock'n Roller Coaster if she could. LOL - you never know.

Sometimes it's the little things, though. The things that seem to stick out as constantly being liked from age 5 to 8 for her have been things like Sonny Eclipse's show, PUSH, Wes Palm (talking palm tree at AK entrance).... things like that. If the 4 year old can handle a short coaster, Primeval Whirl was a good 'gateway' ride for us - once she had handled that one on one trip, she felt like trying the bigger rides on teh next trip, which was a joyous moment for this thrill-ride loving mommy. :-)

At those ages, I think the biggest thing to remember is that they are going to have an absolute ball no matter what you do and don't do. We sure didn't get to everythign on our first trip, but DD talked about it *forever* and never once worried about what we didn't do.......

At the magic kingdom go see the Haunted Mansion... its great!!
MGM you gotta hit the rock and roll rollercoaster and the tower of terror... the beauty and the best show is amazing too...( is that still there?? its been 3 yrs since i have been...)
My brother says at epcot that the Crush from Nemo is the best thing he has ever seen.. i can't wait to see it,
and at animal kingdom the saffari ride and Bugs life.. all worth the wait!!
HAVE FUN!!!!

You must see the parades and fireworks. My kids (and I) really enjoyed them! :jumping1:

I couldn't agree more! The parade and fireworks in all the parks are must see's! They really infuse a magical tingly feeling all over kids of all ages! An they are always the perfect way to end your night b/c after seeing these shows, for me SpectroMagic in MK is my favorite, you leave the parks with this big silly unstoppable grin not being able to help but think to yourself how amazing that just was.
But I will give one tip as far as that goes, I do like Fantasmic but noticed alot of the really little kids didn't like it as mcuh b/c the show is very loud and is based on the villians in the Disney movies which scared alot of the little ones. But it's still a good show and Mickey still saves the day.

With young ones, it sounds like you'll be spending alot of time in FantasyLand in MK. But don't forget about Pirates of the Carribean and Haunted Mansion.

If I could only pick one thing to see it would definitely be Festival of the Lion King at AK.

Mine would be wishes, fantasmic, illuminations, beauty and the beast and for adults mission space! My WDW holiday wouldnt feel complete without all of these !

hi
am i the only adult that thinks philarmagic is loud. i have to sit with my hands over my ears! the must see as opposed to the must do, is the castle during the day and then lit up at night.

Just talking today and my kids really liked the Crush show in Living seas, what a hoot! They call all the kids to sit on the floor upfront and Crush comes out and talks to the dudes and dudettes, points them out and answers their questions, soooooooooo cute and really funny.

Wishes, Fantasmic and Soarin! Definately 3 must do's for us!

Favorite ride : Space Mountain (MK) (worst - Stitch - MK)

Favorite show: Lion King (AK) (worst - Pocahontas - AK)

Favorite snack: Dole Whip (MK) (worst - turkey legs-MK)

Favorite meal: Boma's (AKL) (worst - Cinderella's castle)

Favorite character meal : Chef Mickey's (worst - Cindy's breakfast/lunch)

Favorite "adult" fun - Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk! - any adult time is fun!

Here are my must see attractions at each of the park:

1. MK - Haunted Mansion and the Carousel of Progress - Both of these attractions bring back so many memories from my childhood that I have to go on both of them while at MK.

2. EPCOT - Journey into Imagination - Again, Figment brings back so many memories. I can remember riding the original Figment ride in 1984 when I was 9. I am 30 and I am still in love with Figment! He is so cute!!!!

3. MGM - Tower of Terror, Rockin' Roller Coaster, and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. I am a huge fan of the Twighlight Zone. The Tower of Terror is awesome!

4. AK - Dinosaur and Kilamanjaro Safari.

Also, as previous posters have stated, I must have at least one Dole Whip during our trip!

My DD (age 8) is sitting here next to me and I asked her what her favorite things were. Her first response was swimming at the resort pool, so make sure you save some time to let your little ones just splash for a while.

Her response for each park is as follows:

MK: Her favorite ride was Space Mountain. She rode Dumbo because I wanted her to, but she thought she was too big. Her favorite show was Mickey's Philharmajic (which by the way was my favorite show from all the parks). Her favorite meal was Cinderella's Royal Table Character Breakfast. If you have a daughter, I think it is a must. My DD actually got to sit on the thrown with the Fairy God Mother and talked for several minutes. That trip has been over a year ago and she talks about it.

EPCOT: Her favorite ride was Test Track. She made us ride it several times. The only other thing that she really enjoyed at Epcot was Honey I Shrunk the Audience and Innoventions. The Living Seas was alright, but she has been to so many Aquariums that are so much bigger that her response was, "Is that all of it?". Journey Into Figments Imagination was alright. She absolutely hated the World Showcase. From the time we entered she begged us leave. The only way we could get her to stay was to take her to all the Kidcot stops. On our last trip to WDW, we did not even enter the World Showcase. Her favorite restuarant was the Garden Grill, but of course it's the only restuarant that we ate at.

MGM: She can not name a favorite at MGM. She loved everything we did. We skipped The Magic of Disney Animation, Walt Disney: One Man's Dream and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire just because I knew she would not like them. We skipped Tower of Terror because she and I were both afraid of it. We did everything else. Her favorite show was Beauty and the Beast because Belle is her favorite Disney Character, she also will not let us skip Fantasmic (not that we would ever try). You absolutely have to eat at Sci-Fi Dine-In theater. We ate there on our first trip to WDW and now we eat there every single time we go. It is wonderful.

AK: Without hesitation, she picked the Safari. I agree. Her favorite show was Pocahontas, but again, I think it's because of her personal like of Pocahontas more than the show, because the show itself was very short. My favorite was Lion King. Her favorite restaurant is the Rainforst Cafe which is actually located outside of AK, but has an entrance from inside the park also.

I asked her if she had to pick only one thing at WDW to do, what would it be, and again she said swim at the hotel. I am considering having a pool put in the back yard and save some money on my vacations.
