What is Team Mickey (the building next to casting)?

I know what casting is but I haven't been able to figure out what Team Mickey is.

Anyone know?

I believe there are executive offices in the Team Disney building. I've only been in there once to go to the credit union as their main office is in this building.

what would happen if I walked in with a resume asking for a proffessional job with Disney in Imagineering?

If you try to go to Team Disney with a resume they will send you to casting since professional and hourly roles come out of the same area. Team Disney has security right at the front and you need a cast id or a appointment with someone in the building in order to get in. It also houses the credit union, and a company D locaation!

Someone told me that Casting did not deal with professional jobs. Where they wrong? Should I take my resume to casting?

I have heard that the only way to apply for a professional position is to apply online at disneycareers.com...or if you know somebody who can pass around your resume. Hate to say this, but it is almost impossible to obtain a professional position, especially in Imagineering, without prior Disney experience (whether it be a lower paying job and moving your way up or applying for an internship) or without friends/relatives who are already employeed in such a position. Most of the Imagineers and Imagineering positions are in CA. I wish you the best of luck though!

You cannot walk in to casting and talk about a professional position, but you can leave your resume and be contacted at a later date if they want to interview you.

Great Thanks! I will do that!

What if you are looking for hourly positions can you just walk in? I am moving to Orlando in September and will need to find a job so not sure if I should apply online or in person.

Thanks

Thanks

For an hourly role you can just walk in to the Casting building. They will have 2 lines, one for scheduled appointments and one for walk ins, there is also a list of everything that they are currently hiring for. You can fill out the paperwork there and they usually do the interviews the same day (sometimes you have to come back for an interview or a second interview).

You can also call in advance if you would like. The casting number is 407-828-1000
