I have a question, I have been to WDW 3 times but never during the holiday season. I have heard that Mickey's VMC is not to be missed. I looked on the disney website and saw that the whole resort is decorated beautifully but what is the VMC party? Is it a parade? I am asking bc my DD2 loves Christmas almost as much as I do. I live close to DL which I hear does a holiday themed decorating scheme also . I would like to make plans for next early Dec. (2009) She will be 3 by then and I think can get more out of it. I go crazy with decorating during the season so I would like to stay at an onsite resort that will be decorated festivly. I would like any information or advice about what special activities are available and where we should stay. Thanks all.

Mickeys very Merry Christmas Party, is a special hard ticket event ( you have to buy a ticket, not included with admission)that occurs in Nov and Dec on select nights. The park closes earlier and the party generally runs from 7p-12a.Rides are open and there are special performances,Christmas parade, cocoa and cookies..etc.If you have never gone before and can afford it I would go for it.it really is nice.

Yeah it is way less crowded and if your in the right spot at the right time it will feel as though you are the only person in the entire park its really cool you should do it

We are going to WDW in December and i know we would love to go to this. My question is if we go there around 8/8:30, what would we be missing? We have a Cinderella Dinner at 7 so i think we would miss the first hour and a half of the event.
Do you think its still worth doing if we get there a little late?

As long as you stay the whole time, you'll still catch everything. Anything you might miss in that first hour and a half will be redone throughout the night. I went last year, so feel free to ask me any questions you'd like. I included some pics in my TR from last December. We'll be back this December, but unfortunately too late for the MVMCP. Enjoy!!! It's well worth the money and time. :santa:

Thanks njdisneyfreak.
I decided to move up one of our dinner reservations so we'll be able to make it to MK easily by 7pm. And i chose a Tuesday b/c i heard it was the least crowded, plus it was the best day for us.
Now I'm so excited b/c i keep hearing so many great things about it.

I haven't told my wife and daughter yet...i plan on surprising them. :woohoo:

That's great, and what a terrific surprise!!! How cool. You should try and get Mickey Santa hats for each of them to present to them that morning and say something like, "You're going to need these tonight, because we're going to MVMCP!" I'm glad it's worked out for you. You won't regret it. :goodvibes

Hi there! I just wanted to suggest that you try the Wilderness Lodge if is in your budget b/c they really do go all out with the decorations, Christmas tree is the best you've ever seen and the Lodge really gives you a toasty holiday vibe. Feel free to e-mail me if there is any way I can help you with a ressie:
