No, it wasn't a "slack" time it was busy season--3rd week of June. In the pre-terrorism days, getting to an airport 2+ hours in advance of a flight was not a necessity--an hour to hour and one half was plenty of pre-boarding time and the recommended time.
The bottom line was we rode the doggoned greyhound-like bus all over creation and it was for the convenience of Mears, not the guest. I prefer the better customer service afforded by a car service.

But, the last time we rode Mears, we had to wait over an hour! She was about ready to climb the walls, the chairs, the luggage and ANYTHING else she could think of!! The airport is just not a safe place to have your children want to run, and they are SO excited...they just cannot sit (esp. after being on a plane for 4.5 hrs). Other waiting families were having just as much of a hard time as we were.
