There are high wind warnings in Anaheim today until 3. What will be changed/closed in that situation, if anything?

Outdoor rides that can be affected by wind may need to stop for a while. I'm thinking the swings and anything high up that is outdoors. I don't know if they stop things like the roller coaster for winds, but they probably should. Indoor/Outdoor rides likely won't be affected unless the winds are so crazy that we can barely walk around.

Depends on how the winds behave but fireworks could be cancelled. They might not make the cancellation decision until very last minute, often the Hub and Main Street will be full of people and then at 9pm, the lights stay on and there is just nothing, or they may announce its been cancelled.

You can be almost certain that Silly Symphony Swings and Golden Zephyr will be down for some portion of the day.

Most everything else will likely operate as normal.

Unless fireworks are *really* important to you, don’t stand around waiting for an announcement… just ride rides while everyone else waits. Reasonably good odds the fireworks may not happen.

By the way, Disney does not make the decision. They have an onsite Fire Marshall that decides every single night, that's why its "last minute". Should the Fire Marshall come out tonight and determine the winds plus the weather conditions pose a fire risk, then the show will be cancelled. But it's not up to Disney

I know :) Ive watched the Fire Marshall doing the checks on The Castle after the fireworks from Fantasyland.

Santa Anas tend to die down for the evening. This isn't a storm that's blowing through so the odds are better fireworks will happen. There's several layers too now. Light show, low level fireworks and the standard big show.

If at risk, they typically start announcements 30minutes before the show that wind conditions are playing a role and decisions will be made last minute.

Yes, City Fire Marshall gets final say - not the suits.

Fireworks canceled last night, but they still did the castle light show and snow. The winds were so strong, we were on the Club 33 balcony, and the snow from Rivers of America, which is quite a ways away, was blowing up to us!

Last night, power went out in DTD and the DLH about 3 am briefly.

So many rides kept going down today which added a bit of chaos to the already busy Thanksgiving day. CMs said it was due to the wind but basically loss of power last night that threw off the rides. Definitely impacted the parks big time from our experience but things seemed to get back on track by evening.

Those winds are no joke- I am so happy I learned my lesson with CA winters and brought my coat. If anyone is going soon I'd recommend it!

Pretty amazing amount of rides down yesterday off and on. We may not even bother with rides today. It's a bummer when you're 4th in line and have the ride go down after waiting.
