What is School Bread? I think it's from Norway in Epcot, but I could be wrong. I heard that it's considered a snack credit on the DDP and people were excited about it. I figure I must be missing out! TIA :)

It's a big round piece of sweet bread with a pudding-like substance inside, topped with icing and coconut.

Some here like it, some don't. I think it's okay.

Yes it is at the Norway bakery. It is a sweet bread (looks like a large bun or roll) and has a pudding/custard filling, the outside has frosting with a coconut covering. I liked it alot, but I'd think you'd have to be a coconut lover.

What Nala said.

It is a cream puff on steroids covered in a sugary-sweet glazed topped with shredded coconut and a dalup of bavarian cream. It is as large as a softball, some are larger. It is generously fillled with that same bavarian cream. Yes, I'm a huge fan of this devil's fruit.

Had it for the first time last week. I had heard about it here on the boards, and OH MY GOODNESS!! Yummy!! My son and I split one, and it's all he talked about for the rest of the trip. :thumbsup2

I got to taste this last December when the Mousefest group was doing a
Eat/Drink around Epcot meet.....I only lasted 3 countries ( I started with a margarita and I think that's what did me in so quickly) But at Norway we tried a bunch of different dessets...The school bread looked the least promising, but oh gee, was it good!!! and I don't even like sweets!!!

It's really too big to eat alone, so take family or buddies for sharing!

Another fan of school bread here. I have to have one every time I go. However the bread is not really sweet so don't expect something sticky sweet like a normal sweet roll. It's more like regular bread with a sweet cream filling, with a powdered sugar frosting, topped with coconut, and a dallop of butter/cream.

It's pretty large, just so you know. I didn't finish mine. It wasn't as sweet as it looks, fortunately. The bread part is like a roll or bun, and the sweetest part is the coconut topping. I really enjoyed it.

Oh well, too bad for me. I have coconut, but the rest sounded yummy.

This is the best description of School bread that I've found :thumbsup2 .... Tried it last time I was there and it's one of those "must do's" for me.

They are huge.... 3 of us split one easily!

Just don't ask me to share my tonga toast... :sunny:
