Hi Mudisneycouple!
Just wanted to let you know Schoolbread is really Norwegian. In Norway it is called Skolebrod. You can buy it in most Norwegian bakeries. I was born and raised in Norway, and would get it often. It is not my favorite Norwegian treat, I rather eat a Lefse. They unfortunately do not have my favorites which are Krembolle (a roll covered with glazed chocolate and rum cream in the middle), and Norwegian versions of Napoleon cake (Flaky pastry with a rum cream in the middle).
If you have a chance, stop by the giftshop and get some Norwegian chocolate. It is not as sweet as American chocolate, and even my American children prefer it. The milk chocolate Dove and Symphony are probably the two American chocolates closest in taste to Norwegian ones.
