What is preferred parking?

In an earlier post 'preferred parking' was mentioned as being an extra $3. What do you get for this?

I think you get to park in the first lot, closest to the walkways to City Walk. Saves you a few minutes walking time. At the end of the day, that might be worth the extra bucks.
