What Is Owned At The Time Of Your Dvc Purchase????

I thought that I read on another posting that when buying into DVC you don't have to make a payment up front. But that you can make payment arrangements and that the first payment won't be due until the following month. OR on the day of signing up for DVC do you have to pay the entire downpayment???

My first purchase required a $500 deposit and the balance of the 10% due within 30 days. With my add on's, I didn't have to put down a deposit because I am already a member, but had to pay the 10% within 30 days.

I called DVC today, and this is what I was told...

150 pts. (If buying now before prices go up in March)
Would be a down payment of $1740...$500 on your credit/Debit card when you submit your application then the rest ($1240) is due within 30 days. I was also told that I could go ahead and start planning and making my ressies as soon as I paid the first $500.

Not sure but think that your first monthly payment is not due until 30 days after closing.

We were told that the remaining balence of the 10% was due before closing... Needless to say, I just paid the 10% to save all the extra time, but we have not gotten our closing information yet. On the other hand, we have already booked two weeks - One in July at OKW and one at Christmas at SSR, and all before closing has offically taken place.

Good lord but I wish July would hurry up and get here - i need my Disney fix, and looking forward to the first time as a DVC member.

Oh that is very reasonable...I know I've heard that the pricing plans are affordable , but that is great!!!! I have other projects coming up, so that will be very do-able. thank you
