What is one

Good Coffee and more choices for the childrens menu!

I'd like to see the food at the American Pavillion offer something other than burgers...maybe different kinds of BBQ, since each region of the country has its own distinct take on it...

There is *good* American food!!!

Not that I don't like burgers...

I would love to see a full-service Indian restaurant in the Animal Kingdom.

This is a terrific idea! I love indian food. And just imagine how the smells would enhance the surrounding area. Curry...yum!

That's a great menu!! (And a great quote from you SIL, BTW) And to think--other people are paid to think up this stuff, and we do it for the love of the game! Oh...the wasted genius of the DIS population... :earboy2:

What about a restaurant that only healthy food? Like Seasons 52.

Good Southern food and/or New Orleans food.

I like your menu, erikthewise. I've never heard that quote for the New England one. My family is Southern and I've only heard, "we don't care how you do it up north." :)

hey i'm from Ohio and never made them with Open pit( sweet baby rays on occasion) or nekid either (uh btw that was condition of the ribs not the cook right?:rotfl2: )

any drinkable coffee is my more serious suggestion as well as the real american food at epcot

The kids menus definately need more options...and I would love to see a greek restautant....yum!

But overall I'm happy with what Disney offers

Disney really needs a decent Indian restaurant. It is the most popular food in the UK and the one dining experience I miss when visiting Florida. Again and again I see this mentioned on various Disney boards.
I would also like Disney to ditch the coffee and buy some fresh beans. The coffee is foul.I stay 'decaffinated' for a full two weeks on each visit it is so horrible.
Healthy food options are better than they were but we need even more.

Yet another vote for Indian food. I ate at a great place in Orlando (during a conference) but the name escapes me. They had great Chicken Tikka Masala and Saag paneer (sp).

How well would an Indian restaurant work in Asia at Animal Kingdom? I've never been to AK but would think this would be a good choice.

OK, this isn't food, but...

I'd like some Diet Sprite. And for when I don't want any caffeine, I'd like some Diet Sprite.

Since it is my favorite, how about some gosh-darn DIET SPRITE?

Thanks, I'm glad someone asked.

How could you even think of leaving out Memphis style? Rendevous (Memphis restaurant) could open up in WDW and I would be in heaven.

Character meal geared to boys (Toy Story)

Thai

Thought on Indian Food--someone mentioned the way that curry smell would fill up the area...that's just the problem--many folks have a serious aversion to that curry smell...

I think the American Pavillion at Epcot is down right embarrassing! As the host nation--couldn't we showcase our diverse national taste buds a little better than burgers and fries? Over the years on this board I have seen suggestions of regional cuisines being featured in the American restaurant. That would be so great! As a minimum you would think they could have a restaurant with "country cookin' " (Think Cracker Barrel)

My two cents...

1) I'll second/third/fourth/whatever the Indian restuarant, but then a good Thai restuarant would do even better in my book.

2) Chicago deep-dish pizza, and not that chain Numero Uno's stuff, but the authentic Gino's East version.

3) Real/good coffee...not too hard to find stuff far better than Starbucks...ever try Caribou Coffee; one step above any Starbucks; and there's many levels above that yet!

4) Is there a good Philly cheesesteak place at WDW? Haven't really looked for one, but if I knew where one was, would definitely try to find it.

5) Good Italian pizza, not deep-dish/Chicago-style, but honest-to-goodness flavorful thin crust pizza...the stuff they serve anywhere on property is barely one step above the quality of baked cardboard w/ ketchup. Trails End used to have the best "homemade" pizza there but even they seem to be slipping these days. Hey Disney...the secret starts with the crust!

6) Wine and cheese bar...

You do realize that many Thai dishes incorporate curry, right?

I think Disney would be able to handle the dissapation of the "curry smell". Honestly, though, I can't recall ever passing an Indian restaurant and it reeking of curry on the outside.

As far as it being in AK, that might be the downside since AK closes so early on some days. I like the idea better that someone mentioned of an India pavillion in EPCOT. That would be amazing.

Yep, I love Thai food and I cook with lots of curry! When someone mentioned the smell permeating the area--I thought thought WDW may have considered that and realized many people hate the smell...it was just my thought as to why they haven't put and Indian restaurant yet... You are right--the smell should be contained, though.
