What is on your Christmas list?

My family and I are going on a cruise for Christmas, so that is our big present. In terms of gifts during Christmas people tend to gift me candles and bath bombs which I'm totally fine with!

Like others, my wife and I usually go for giving each other travel or some other big thing at Xmas as we, too, are buy what we want when we want it type folks. Last year it was a golden retriever. This year, we pulled the trigger and bought tickets to see Taylor Swift.

We are planning a multi-generational family trip in early January, to take the resident 7 year old on his first trip to Disney World! Christmas will therefore be pretty small, and much of it will be themed to the trip. I'm going to give DD/SIL a "babysitting" coupon so they can go out on their own on one of our non-park days. The little guy will get the trip as his present (he has no clue that it's planned as it's his present) but also some related stuff, or maybe we'll do a scavenger hunt for him. DH? Socks and underwear, it's all he ever asks for! :rotfl2:

We don’t exchange big gifts, but we do offer a suggestion list to each other of items we might want or need. We usually exchange lists in October. So far, I have a replacement battery for my internet hotspot, and a few books and DVDs on my list.

Probably nothing. I'm notorious in my family for being hard to buy for. My family usually give me Vanilla Visas.

Like most here we really don’t exchange anymore and use extra money to travel.

Used to buy something so the kids could see us exchange something but both know what was in them…lol

This year we are taking the kids and my son’s fiancé on a Cruise at the beginning of Dec. and husband and I are going on a Hawaiian cruise in about 20 days. Usually don’t go so close together just worked out that way. Both were suppose to be done 3 years ago.

There are a few blu-ray box sets I'd like: Avatar and Korra combo set, Indiana Jones original trilogy, Marvel Phases 1-3, Spiderverse, maybe some others. Also the newest Spiderman game and Cities Skylines 2, both coming out this fall.

My DH and I don't usually exchange much - we usually each take our DD12 shopping to pick out something small for the opposite parent. But all of our parents are kind enough to still buy for us so we usually keep an ongoing Amazon list that we can send their way when they ask for suggestions. Its usually stuff we would like but not likely to buy ourselves. And honestly usually it's simple stuff.

Some things on mine are....

*lots of books
*my favorite Pacifica bodyspray/bodywash
*a few makeup items
*Amika shampoo
*Taylor swift CDs
* wax melter
* waterproof stadium blanket (both DH and I have this on our list as we froze during DD's track season last spring)
*reading light
*some athletic shorts.

We obviously don't get our whole list and we may not get any of it - and that's all perfectly fine :)

Interesting reading. There is nothing I want as a gift. I don't like getting gifts I don't want, makes me very uncomfortable. We pay for our 2 youngest kids to fly cross-country home for the holidays. Our oldest is nearby, we prefer an experience over things, such as a night out, grandson will be almost 2 so I think a zoo membership (the National zoo is free but membership covers parking and unlimited merry-go-round rides.) They get a LOT of free babysitting, I have been over there at 6 AM 3 days this week since DD is out of town for work.
