What is oddest thing you found

A cup of half eaten macaroni and cheese, a bottle of Coke and some other partially eaten food in the refrigerator in a one bedroom condo at Saratoga Springs. Guess Mousekeeping didn't think to check there while cleaning.

This was over 30 years ago and I don't remember the name of the hotel, but it was a tower-style hotel in Orlando.
A moderately large knife jabbed into a picture framed on the wall.
Scary part, we either didn't see it when we first got the room or it showed up during our stay.
WIERD!!

A side trip to Daytona - pizza boxes, empty beer cans and vomit in bathroom at HI

Disney trip we found a plush of Brer Rabbit stuck between bed & wall. We did give it the desk I hope the owner got it back. My DS, 6 at the time, ended up with a Mickey plush compliments of GF that night.

The oddest thing I've ever found in a hotel room would have to be a ghost who would turn off the lamp I was sitting under, then turn it back on when I moved away, but only did this after about 8:30ish every evening. :confused3 There were some other things it did that were a little strange, but that was the one that made it a very odd room to stay in or try to do work in. . .

And the worst thing was that I couldn't change rooms; they were booked up entirely and had given me quite literally the very last room in the hotel because I was responsible for booking a large number of rooms at their hotel for various folks - otherwise I would've been turned away entirely when I showed up at 11PM, completely bedraggled after multiple flight delays, without a reservation, needing a room. (They were full up with people I'd either booked there or sent that way too! :rotfl:)

In London ~ opened our hotel room door only to find a couple in our bed :scared1:! Imagine everyone's surprise and embarrassment!?!?! :rolleyes1

Visiting WDW staying at a non Disney hotel ~ a bag of pot under telephone! :sad2:

Staying at Dixie Landing...we came back from being in the parks all day to find that someone had taken some towels from the bathroom and twisted them around to look like what resembled an elephant and it was wearing my sunglasses:confused3 Weird:confused:

:cool1:

I can answer on behalf of the person who walked in! My grandmother, only in her granny panties bending down over her suitcase which was on the floor.

This was about 20+ years ago at the Indiana University Student Union hotel. I think the young man was more embarrassed than she was!

Once at a roadside motel, there was a large fancy knife in the drawer of the nightstand. I told the front desk person but she seemed unimpressed so it might still be there!

DS and I also walked into a room once to find a man standing there wrapped in a towel. He hadn't checked out yet.

This past sept, near washington dc, we found a baggie of several small adult toys on the floor. it was a Holiday Inn.

My aunt & uncle found a taser under their bed at Saratoga. They were getting ready to pack & looked under the bed to check for their stuff & there it was.

Big ole bag of pot. We flushed it.

I'm seeing a common theme here, so did we, and all of the
parahanalia, in a cabin we rented in upper Michigan as well as
some of the cabin owners clothes in the closet.
You'd think if you're going to rent it you'd take your personal
stuff out.

Back in '89 at the Poly, we were given the keys to our room and the bellman was going to meet us with our bags. We opened the door and there were two employee uniforms on the bed and noises coming from the running shower. The next room they sent us to was missing all of the closet doors and curtains, it had just been painted. The Poly bought us lunch and dinner that day.

We found a frog in our 3rd floor bathroom at the Poly.

We found a bag of new adult magazines, wedged behind the bed. Not at wdw though.

No weird stuff at wdw though.

A man sleeping on the couch

After a long day on the road stopped to get a room. We opened the door and there was a man on the couch, someone in the bed, and it smelled like a brewery :earseek:

We quietly closed the door as the man on the couch raised up to see who was coming into the room after 11pm.

Go back to the front desk and the clerks response was ... oh, sorry about that, I wasn't aware they had put anyone in that room.

On a band trip in the mid 90's, we were staying at a Knight's Inn.

We found a shoot-up needle, used condom, and bloody sheets. :scared1:

Oh my!!!!! Thats all I can say!

All I found was a tube of sunscreen under a bed. My DS found it when looking for a toy. It was at the CBR /07. Very minor, my DH put it in the trash. We never mentioned it to anyone.
