What is New with Uber at WDW?

i downloaded the app and was going to use it to get to Fantasia gardens but was afraid they would be able to get in our resort. i wish i tried we paid 22 bucks to get from AKL to Fantasia Gardens. what a rip off !

I understand. I started this thread looking for very recent experiences to see how its working. We would like to plan counting on uber for breakfast ressies., late eve at Boardwalk, etc.

From what i read seems legit. When i was messing around with the app from different locations there seemed to be a driver in the area at all times . maybe 5 minutes away the latest . I hope it all works and and good luck !

We just got back last week and used Uber to do early breakfasts and resort to resort dining. We tipped our driver in cash. Most of the trip fares were so cheap, especially in comparison to Mears cabs we have used in the past, we still came out ahead. We got great service, and never had to wait more than 8 minutes for a car. It was well worth it.

We used both uber and lyft to get from our off site hotel to MK and Epcot as well as dinner each night this past March. Our driver dropped us off at the TTC when we went to MK and we took a riverboat over to the park. We were picked up at the contemporary. On another night we were droped off and picked up at the contemporary for dinner at the California grill. We had positive experiences with both uber and lyft and would use them again. If you (or any DIS member) want to try them i have promo codes for both that will give you $20. Off your first rides. That would give you $20 off the ride to your destination with uber and $20 off your return ride with lyft. Just let me know if you need the promo codes.
