What is my problem?????

I agree---I do the same thing. Put the clothes in the dryer, check the boards. Load up the dishwasher (better hurry, something exciting may be going on at the boards), check the computer again. Where does it all end????
I agree and I'm feeling ya! Just now I was getting ready to wash up some things that can't go into the dishwasher. Picture this: I actually have a sink full of warm, sudsy water and I've donned my rubber gloves w/ cloth in hand and out of nowhere I get this, "Oh, I better go see what's happening on the Dis." So I actually stopped, took my rubber gloves off and ran in here to see what I'm missing.

Now, I can tell you that I only have about 3 things that can't go in the dishwasher. Why didn't I just wash them up? What is so important that I get that kind of sidetracked and drawn to the Dis? And this happens all day long. I'll be making the bed and half way through (out of nowhere) I'll run in here and get on the Dis. I'll be the first to admit that I'm easily distracted but this is a bit much if you stop and think :scratchin about it which this thread has prompted me to do.

I don't know, alls I can say is :disrocks:

Have a Disney Day!

P.S. Could you imagine if we gave up the Dis for Lent? :scared1: :faint:

And naturally.....a few hours and a few errands later.....I am back ;)

Hi My name is Dina and I am a Disneyaholic (and a DIS-aholic too.)

My DH can't understand how I can check once an hour. He doesn't understand the need for anything Disney.

My DS (9) has been bitten by the Disney Bug as well. (He hopes to animate for Disney one day). My DD (6) thinks she's a Disney Princess (well, aren't we all, LOL.)

I am the same way. I have been at this since 6:00 am. I personally think that I just need to go to DW! That is the line I am going to use with DH. :rotfl2:

Hi, my name is Laura and I am a compulsive dis board reader/poster. My husband thinks I am crazy too, so I am glad I am not the only one. I am a SAHM, so as I move from job to job around the house I check in. Today I am using a steamer to try to clean grout on my 1000 sq ft of tile. I hate grout, especially light colored. Dh picked out the house without me (military move and I wasn't free to go look- we had to rush) and didn't notice how bad the grout was. I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of to clean the grout. My last resort will be to try to stain it, but I am seriously art and craft challenged, so I would love to avoid it.

I'm back as well, and to further obsess I'm thinking of subscribing to tour guide Mike's. Of course it means cutting down on housework because I'm not letting go of anyof the time I reserve for DIS! ;)

Wow! Thanks for sharing everyone! :) I found this website and have been a lurker for some time. I finally decided to log in and join the conversations was beginning to wonder if I am the only one that seems so obsessed with anything Disney.

I have been planning a WDW vacation for over two years now. We are scheduled to go in March unless things fall through. Then we will reschedule for early summer.

Thanks again for sharing and for all the wonderful ideas and tips!! :) :)

Hi, everybody: I am going to WDW in March and there are eight of us. My girlfriend, who lives around the corner is coming with us, and she will phone me when she wants to discuss our upcoming trip--we talk for hours on the phone while searching the Dis. She'll call me at work when she's at home on the computer, and I'll call her at work when I'm on the computer. We are also WDW addicts--lol. It's nice to know we are not alone. :hourglass :teeth: :sunny:

Reading this has made me feel so much better! I am not alone!! :) We're leaving for WDW in one week  and I can't get enough of the boards. I feel like I need to know everything that is going on down there so I can make this the most magical trip ever! :wizard: I practically had to force DS2 to take his nap so I can catch up on everthing I've missed from the night before.

I mean, look at the number of posts I've made! I'm not sure why these boards are SO addictive---maybe it's the next best thing to actually being in WDW? Comraderie among other disneyphiles when other adults look blankly at me when I pour forth details about activities available at WDW resorts---that I've never stayed at? :rotfl2:

Anyway, glad we're all in one place!

:sunny: I am not sure if I managed to use the quote feature correctly or not.
But I couldn't agree more. And I had to laugh when I read someone else say that they had to fight to get their DD2 to take a nap to hit the boards! Me too!
Me too! :rotfl2:

I am on here everyday (mostly) and I don't even have a trip in the works! I have no excuse- I am just a Disney nerd, I guess.

Hi, I'm a DIS addict, too...
My DH is convinced I have a problem...I keep reminding him of all the fun things we get to do because of what I have learned on these boards. He gets it only when we are on vacation and he is wowed by my growing wealth of knowledge.
He can always tell when I have been on the boards too long...my hands get freezing cold from holding the mouse and typing...I've taken to running my hands under warm water before heading to bed so he won't know how long I have been doing my OCD board checking!

 That's me too, Ibelieveinfairies!! That's so funny that you say that because I have the same problem w/ my DH (who just doesn't get the addiction that I have to these boards) he can tell that I've been on the computer for a long time because my hands are always freezing :cold: . I'll keep that in mind about running them under warm water before heading to bed.

Try being in WDW for 2 weeks without a computer!! LOL I was having the DT's!

I purchased an AP to Disneyquest just so I could use their internet cafe to check the boards. I might miss something about the world while Im at the world!

So if you are ever in DQ and you see this crazed lady with a big hunk of chocolate cake anxiously waiting on a computer, THAT'S ME!!

Oh GEEZE! I never even thought of that!!!!! I'm gonna have withdrawals!!!!!

I mean, I don't think I've watched TV in two weeks.

I am sooooo glad to know that others have the same addiction as me. My DH just stares at me without expression when I dribble off 30 minutes of details about a trip report I've read from someone I don't even know. I'm quoting things they've said and laughing as though they're good friends ;)

I have a sad little life :( I know!!!

Amy

Wow! All you guys are awesome!! :cheer2:

Everyone in my family is afraid to mention the word "Disney" because once it's brought up I have to share ALL my latest info that I've learned on here!

And it could take a long, long time.......:hourglass

I'm going to invent a patch to help DIS'ers get through "disboard withdrawl".

It will be shaped like a Mickey head and sold, where else, e-bay!

Who wants to place an order?

I found the board about 2 weeks ago... My hubby said oh good finally you can come out of the closet :goodvibes I've not got a date in mind but much more looking and I am so going soon
