We plan to stay at Pop or AoA so we will be taking their bus to the parks. What is it like now when you first get there?
Is it quite a long walk to get to the turnstiles or security?
Do you walk through any kind of screening check if you don't have a bag?
I am assuming that if I take a purse they will check it, right?
I heard something about using your fingerprint to get in the park and you have to remember which finger you used so does that mean you don't just scan your band to get in?
What else can we expect when we are first dropped off at the parks?

1. Same as always.
2. Not usually.
3. There is a no-bag entrance.
4. Yes.
5. Both band and finger, to combat the usual shenanigans.
6. Lots of others doing the same.

To add a little play by play...
You will be dropped off at a bus depot, some are closer to the park entrance than others depending on the park. None are far. If you do not have a bag you will go through a dedicated line, you may or may not be chosen to go through a metal detector or screened with a wand. If you take a purse you will have to go through a bag check line that can be long (usually no more than 5-15 minutes) depending on when you arrive.

On your first day, you will go to a tapstile and have a finger scanned. You pick the finger. Subsequently, each time upon entry you will tap your band on the scanner and then place your finger on the finger pad. Yes, use the same finger. After that, you may enter the park...

Plus, if you do have a bag and have to go through the line to get it checked, you might still have to go through the metal detector. We went to one park this weekend and I had a tiny bag. I had to get the bag checked, then was directed through the metal detector.

Thanks. That's what I was looking for. Do they consider a wristlet/wallet a bag?

If it is any type of bag, it is a bag.
You can only go through no bag line, if you do not have a bag. That includes a wristlet.

Don't stress if your finger scan doesn't work right away, sometimes a lot of sunscreen can screw up the reader, so just rub your finger on your shirt right before you place it down :-)
