I was talking to a friend of mine and was trying to explain Beverly to him. I know that it has some herb/spice in it but couldn't remember what. Anyone know? What about the other drinks? Is there a list of them somewhere?
Thanks!

It is supposed to be a drink that is used to "cleanse the palate" between courses. As far as the ingredients, I think kerosene and benzene are a couple of the items used. :rotfl2: Anyway, with the overall change in the show there, maybe there will no longer be a beverly to taste. No one seems to know for sure. :confused

i had a friend from italy in college and asked her about what the beverly drink is all about. she said they drink it before going out to dinner or before a night out on the town. it's used for social situations. it's definitely not a regular drink, like coke is for us. i think it's nasty stuff regardless of what it's used for!

here's the info for all the drinks... ice station

They closed the soda place that served that toxic Beverly stuff (the one that looks like a glacier or something to the right when you come into Epcot). Now there is a little stand by the crash dummy car with the misters (on the left side when entering). I don't think they are serving the Beverly though. Ignore this if you are refering to the new place! I don't know the names very well!

Interesting about the use of Beverly. Social situatuions? I don't get it but, hey, lots of folks don't get some of the werid stuff Americans do (shaving legs, eating ourselves sick, sensoring tv, etc...).

Don't worry, if you really need some, you can go to the Coke Museum in Atlanta and have your fill, along with about 25 other flavors.....

After hearing so much about this Coke iceberg stand with the different flavors, I was looking for it on our vacation-- it's closed! :(

Speaking as an official member of the "Beverly Fan Club", I think Beverly tastes great - it's that sickly sweet stuff the rest of you drink that is nauseating :rotfl2:

Just a guess at what is in it - perhaps a bit of quinine? And some herbs of some kind? It tastes a bit like another Italian drink, Campari, which I also love.

If they don't have it anymore, I'll be very disappointed!

I am also one of those rare people who truly does love the taste of The
" Beverly ", and if it was available around here, I would surely buy some.
I swear that the herb that is in this drink is cloves. I really love the smell of cloves, and many years ago I used to pick up a can of cloves in the supermarket, just to smell it. I also used to chew that old-time gum called
"Clove". Each time I have visited Ice Station Cool, I sample The Beverly first, and I realize that I still enjoy it.
