Hi everyone,
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Im taking my daughter to Eurodisney during her half term school holiday 23rd-25th October mainly for Halloween.
Ive checked and although our kids are on school holidays the French kids aren't, does anyone know how busy it might be in October?
Also what is Halloween like at Disney? We wont be there for the actual party on the 31st but will there still be a load of Halloween stuff to do?
Thanks in advance,
Ruby n Mollie x

I can't answer the crowds question but I can answer the question about Halloween in Disneyland Resort Paris - it's amazing! The theming is wonderful and they convert one whole land (Frontierland) into Halloweenland, and Main St has it's fair share of Pumpkinmen too. There are Halloween shows, parades and lots more. In our visits so far the one last October was as good as any which is why we are going back in October again this year.

I have a ton of photos from the Halloween season if you want a sneak peak: clicky

Welcome to DIS by the way :)

Thanks Steve, there great! LOVE the pumpkin ears!
What were the crowds like when you went in October?

DD and I went during Halloween season last year and really enjoyed it - the theming is amazing as you will see from Steve's photos. However, we went during DD's half term last year and it was very busy so you will need to make the most of early starts and FPs etc.

We went in mid October, the week before half term and the crowds were quite low. Queuing time was quite short, though things like Buzz had a bit of a longer queue but the queuing area is fun there so we didn't mind.

I thought it would be quite busy during the school holidays, but at least the French kids are still at school.
How long were the queues roughly?

i ttoaly agree i went last year 2nd week of october and it was amazing, it was the best time i ever went!!

Cant wait now!
We've been twice before but never at Halloween and I love Halloween! We're going for the atmosphere really, even if it is busy! Although if anyones got any rough waiting times for the October half term holiday that would be great!

I agree with the rest, we went for the first time at Halloween last year and loved it, atmosphere was great, the theming, even the foggy weather fit...:wizard: but we went on a very crowded weekend, don`t know if it was halfterms though. It was the 3rd November if I remember right, Indiana Jones was 45 minutes (had never seen it like this), Buzz 45min and the BTMRR was really long. Maybe if you read the Halloween TRs from last year you will get an idea how crowded it was:confused3

By late afternoon/early evening I seem to recall BTM and Buzz were like 90 - 120 minutes!

Hi Ruby, welcome to the DIS! :welcome:

We're going the same week as you and I'm expecting it to be very busy but so long as you get to the parks early and use fastpass it will be manageable. Where are you staying? If it's a Disney hotel you can also benefit from Extra Magic Hours on selected mornings and evenings. :)

We, coincidentally, were there on the first day of the halloween makeover and found crowds non-existent.

We went on a Friday, out of holidays, and it didn't appear to us that anyone was there just for halloween, so I'm guessing that unless you go on a weekend or during school holidays, there will be no crowd problems.

I found the halloween decorations well done, but given this was our one and only visit to DPL, would have preferred to have seen the park au naturel.

LucyKate enjoyed your trip report. Thanks for posting the link :goodvibes

Halloween is a fantastic time to go, the atmosphere and the theming is truly amazing. We were there the last two years for half term and although very crowded, it is manageable if you make good use of the fastpass system and above all get there early. There tended to be long lines (45 - 120 mins) for most of the headliners by about 11am in Disneyland Park, but the lines at the Studios were shorter. Halloween day itself and the following day were incredible busy, as they were French holidays when we were there, and you really noticed the increase in the crowds. It wouldn't deter me from going though, and only a pending Florida trip in 2008 is stopping me from going this year for Halloween again.

Hi all,
yes we're in a disney hotel so we can make use of the extra magic hours. To be honest crowds and queues arent going to deter me as we're lucky enough to have been before so we'll probably just do the bigger rides as now my daughters a bit taller and can go on them! We're going mainly for the halloween atmosphere and the parades because we LOVE Halloween and will be just glad to be there at all!

One of the best things about the Halloween season is that you don't have to go on any rides to experience it - just walking around Halloweenland and seeing all the Pink Witches and Pumpkinmen is a great attraction in itself.

Thanks Steve, my daughter is 7 so we'll have a great time looking at all the pumpkins and witches! And of course all the Halloween goodies to buy....:rolleyes1
