What is good at WCC BESIDES the skillet?

I loved the nachos and the dessert. DD loved the worms in dirt!! This next trip I'm going to try the skillet though.

We love the pasta dish! So much that I requested the recipe and I'm going to try to recreate it tonight. It has chicken and some broccoli with a spicy garlic chipotle cream sauce. YUMMY! The wings are also very good. (I got that recipe too!) DD12 had the steak and enjoyed it. You should keep the ADR, we had a lot of fun there eventhough it did seem to be a bit toned done from the last time we were there. DD3 still asks to go back almost everyday. WCC really made an impression on her!

the chicken & potatoes, the garlic pasta dish & my husband loves their meatloaf.

That pasta dish does look good! A few of you mentioned another family saying the steak was "good". Any elaborations on that? How did it compare to other WDW steaks?

Another poster mentioned the nachos - YUM!! But watch out! I got those as my appetizer (we do the Dining Plan) & I was really too full to enjoy the all-you-can-eat- skillet.

We are nachos lovers and have decided to just split that and an entree and pay OOP instead of using our Dining Plan that night.

Were they really yummy? I've also heard rave reviews about the desserts!!! :goodvibes

I thought they were very good, and I was really looking forward to them because they were the only nachos I had during our 9 day trip. The desserts looked great, but I don't think we had any room left to eat them.

I agree - that looks fantastic, and if someone has the recipe, I'd love to have it!

Ditto, Tinkamom -

One of the very best pasta dishes - ever!!! And I sample everywhere I go, in and out of the World!

Definitely give it a shot. Skillet is ok, but after a couple of visits to WCC, and doing Disney ribs at several TS and CS places - they are all the same to me!!!

Do you think you need ADRs there at lunch? We are staying there and planning on just eating at Roaring forks when we arrive, but if we are hungry and just want to relax a bit, maybe we'll want sit down. Do you think we can just walk in at lunchtime? For dinner I'd assume we'd need ADRs (or has anyone walked in easily?) FWIW, we are going in early November. JJ

Pretty please! :teeth:

Well I made it last night and it came out great! Here's the recipe that WCC e-mailed me.

Chipotle Cream Sauce

INGREDIENTS
1/2 c White Wine
1/2 oz Garlic, fresh roasted
1 t Thyme, fresh
2 oz Cream Cheese
1 oz Chipotle Peppers, can
1 oz Chicken Base
1/2 oz Shallots, fresh, roasted
1 1/2 c Heavy Cream
3 oz Tillamook Cheddar Cheese, shredded

METHOD
1. Start by adding the white wine to a stock pot on the stove over medium heat. Reduce wine by 1/4, about 1/4 hour.

2. Roast the shallots and Garlic in a 350*F oven until light brown.

3. Add all items to the stock pot except cheddar cheese. Bring to a simmer.

4. Blend using a stick blender until smooth. Slowly add the shredded cheddar cheese until creamy and all ingredients are fully blended. Check the seasoning and add salt and pepper if needed.

5. You may substitute any other roasted hot pepper for the chipotle if you desire, depending on how hot you like your sauce.

SERVICE
Serve over pasta such as penne. You can add roasted chicken or shrimp if desired.

I doubled everything but the cream because I only had 1 pt of cream so thats what I used! I cut chicken breasts into strips and sauted them. It was very easy to make and it came out very Yummy! Oh! I didn't have any thyme so I just left it out and it was still great!

Why is the KITCHEN sink dessert on the menu???and what is in it???

That is at beaches and cream (not WCC), it is a massive ice cream with all sorts on it.

I like their fried chicken with corn bread. Very good!!

For lunch, I liked the Little Nutty Chicken Salad. My sister had the pulled pork sandwich and it was very good. At dinner, I had the strip steak and I was pleased with it. I like my steak without any sauce on it and the one I had was tender and done as requested.
