What is the Family Magic Tour?

My kids are 5 and 7 and very outgoing and I think this sounds like something they would like. Can someone give me more details and what is the cost.

Just a note, these boards are invaluable for planning. Last year we went on a Disney and I researched everything and read the cruise board regularly. By the time we went i was totally prepared. I am doing the same for the trip to WDW, Thank you to all of you for posting your questions and all of you who respond!!!!

Without giving away too many details, it's a "treasure hunt" through the MK. If your kids are outgoing I'm SURE they'll love it.

My granddaughter is very outgoing too and she claims this was "THE" funnest thing she's ever done. She was 7 when she and I took the tour.

My advice is to wear really comfortable clothing and to be prepared to play around in the MK like you've never done before.

DisMN explained it best without giving away too much information, but as she said it is a very kid oriented treasure hunt with a surprise at the the end. (If you want more details, I would be happy to post, but I thought you might want to be surprised) My kids were 6 and 7 when we did it an absolutely loved it. They asked if we could do it again on our next trip, but I told them it wouldn't be as much fun because they would know what was going to happen. I didn't tell them a thing. You have to meet up front by the old Art of Disney Store which is now closed. I had told my kids that I needed something from that store and was waiting for it to open at 10:00 which is when we had to meet there, so they were surprised right from the start and then they were really surprised at the end. The tour can take up to 20 people but our family of 4 was the only one that signed up that day so it was really nice.

My familly did it this past Aug. My kids were 5,5, and 7. They all had a blast, and DW and I did too. Be prepared to act a little "Goofy" as you tour the Kingdom. As far as cost, it was $25/person all ages. We did this as a one-time thing and thought it was well worth it. There were three other families along with ours. We had about 20 people total, and it was fun playing with the other guests. Go for it and have fun!

We did the family magic tour in July. We started at 9:30 and finished up around noon. It was a treasure hunt around MK with a guide. It was alot of fun and then there was a surprise at the end that you will love. Take your camera! Your kids will be speechless and the envy of other families in the park for about 30 minutes. I think I called the PS number and made reservations for that. If you have AP or DVC you'll get a discount. It's reasonable too--I think we paid $65ish for 2 adults and a child. I highly recommend it. We're going to do it again at Easter.

I'm pretty sure I called 407-WDW-PLAY to make ressies for the tour. The tour itself was about 2 hrs, and with the special ending, it was probably about 3 hours (this includes a ride at the end). I don't want to give away too many details and ruin any surprises, so I hope this makes sense.
