What is Express Check Out ?

I don't know if I'm missing something or what.

When we were there in Sept I chose not to put a CC on my room because we didn't plan to charge to the room at all.

I was told that we wouldn't be able to use express check out if we didn't have a CC on the room.

What is express check out ? What is the point of it if your package is paid in full what would I need this for ?

Express check out is when a Cast Member comes and puts your room bill outside your door around 6:00 or 7:00 AM the day you check-out, so you don't need to go to the lobby.

It is when your bill is placed on your door the morning you checkout, therefore you do not have to go to the main lobby before leaving the grounds. It states all charges, including those you may have had added via your KTTW card.

If they take your credit card info at check-in, they have a way to bill you for any incidentals like phone charges, etc. So, they don't make you come to the desk before leaving the hotel. That's Express Checkout. As the PP said, they hang an envelope containing your final bill on your doorknob early on the morning of your checkout day. If the bill looks correct to you, you just leave.

If you don't give them your credit card info, you'll need to check out at the front desk, so they can check your account and make sure there have been no charges, or take payment for any remaining balance.

So if you put any charges put on your acct while you are there it isn't really neccessary is it ?

I forgot to mention if you have to check-out before they would place your bill at your door, usually the night before in your thank you for staying with us message they say the hours you would get it. Just go to the front desk before and they will print you out a copy. A few times my parents have done this because we had an early flight home the day we would check-out and would have had to leave around 5:00 AM which is before they place our bill at our door, so we would not be there to get it.

No, it's not necessary. But you will have to stop at the front desk on your way out and go through the checkout process.
