What is DL like in May?

My mom and I may be going to DL in may for a mother/daughter trip. How are the crowds in May? How is the weather?

We went last May and it was wonderful. Weather was perfect and crowds were low. We were there to visit family and so we were only at the parks one day and I believe it was a Monday. Crowds were very light, Pirates was a walk on all day and I believe Splash was about 10 min wait. I didn't see what Space was because we didn't head over there. The longest wait we had all day was roger rabbit in toontown which was 15 min around 2pm. I would definitely go this time of year again!

When in May? I've heard the crowds are normally good unless it's Memorial Day weekend.....which is when my b-day always falls....LOL Earlier in the month it's better, we did go last May over the first weekend and it was fine, lower crowds, good weather.

We went this year staring on the Mem Day Monday, and crowds were lovely. We heard that Fri-Sun was bad, but it seemed everyone just went home on Monday.

Weather was nice, too.

Should be great then. Memorial Day is towards the end of the month. The weather is also great in May.

Just as a note the first weekend of May is going to be the new Bat's Day weekend. There will be only a little effect on Saturday as most of the event is at a local hotel that day, but Sunday the 3rd is going to be the day in the parks and this might have some effect on crowds.

Memorial Day is the 25th (my b-day) so the weekend is the 23rd and 24th. Going at the beginning should work out fine.

We went the second week in May a few years ago and it was fabulous. Weather was nice and warm and I don't think we waited more than 10 minutes for anything. However, we were there on weekdays so I don't know how the weekends are.

hi there, we went in may 06 (12th-22nd) and it was ...we had great weather, overcast in the mornings and sunny by noon....only one morning of very, very light drizzle and then again, sun...crowds were low and wait times were almost nothing.....it was so great, we are going back this may from the 2nd to the 12th... my daughter is gradding and turning 18(0n the trip) and i gave her choices of where we should go, and she chose disneyland ...Have a great trip

I am really surprised that everyone has forgotten to mention Mother's Day! Mother's Day is generally extremely crowded. The last Mother's Day I was in the "parks" most all of the FP's were gone by noon. If you plan to be there on Mother's Day make sure to plan ahead for meals. I would call the priority seating number for reservations.
