What is Disneyworld missing?

How about a bowling alley?

This has been brought up before in "What would you like to see added at WDW" type threads and I think it would be a great fit in the DTD area.

PS Do you ever think about the ideas that never get off the drawing board? I'm sure that some ideas get nixed right away and others make it far along only to get slashed in the end due to financial reasons. I would love to be a fly on the wall of some of the meetings where they discuss new park attractions!

I like the retirement home idea. My husband is a smoker and always smokes where he is only allowed. I think disney does a great job in displaying on their park maps where the smoking designated areas are.

Disney airlines would be great as well- as soon as you board the plane your vacation actually starts- kind of like DME where they get you all "hyped" up about disney by the music and video they have you watch while en route.

I'm so surprised to see so much interest in a bowling alley -- just would never occur to me to go bowling while I'm there, I guess. Then again, I do seem to have lots of fondness for attractions that get removed or that others continually call to be removed. Shows what I know.

I like the idea of the bowling alley, what about a go-cart place?? This is something my kids and nephews always want to do when we go on vacation or out of town.

I also like the idea of the airline, I'd be willing to bet money that Disney has already been tossing this idea around. This would keep more guests on disney property and bring together a total immersion experience, because the vacation starts as soon as you leave home.

What about a drive in movie theater showing new and classic disney movies, I think that would go over really well, my family would love it. I also wish that they played an actual movie at Sci-Fi dine in instead of a continuous loop of trailers, but I guess the thought on that is that it may make the guests want to stay a little longer.

I totally agree about the lack of things geared toward little boys, there is so much princess stuff around, why can't they have a character meal centered around some of the best boy characters or at least more meet and greets with some of the characters that little boys are interested in. There are some little girls that aren't into the princesses as well.

Just my thoughts

How about a DisneySea park like in Tokyo?

I don't know much about it, but when it opened it looked really interesting and I had hopes for a while for Florida to get one too.

I would think it would tie in well with a pirates theme.

  1. The Indiana Jones Adventure (like Disneyland has)
  2. Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
  3. The Indiana Jones Adventure
  4. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
  5. The Indiana Jones Adventure
  6. Journey into Imagination (the original)
  7. The Indiana Jones Adventure
  8. Kitchen Kabaret
  9. The Indiana Jones Adventure

And did I mention The Indiana Jones Adventure...

I am confused what is it that you would like? :confused3

:rolleyes1

These are all great ideas... i cant think of any though :guilty:

Haunted Mansion Holiday and the new "Happiest Haunts Tour".

As a Nightmare Before Christmas fan I wish WDW would do more with those characters. I know the Happiest Haunts tour would be hard to work at WDW, since the attractions and parks are so spread out.

Just wishing. <sigh>

I'd like to see them develop a park in conjunction with Epcot/World Showcase called, "Ancient World"? They could add more countries (in a seperate park of course) by adding ancient Greece, ancient Rome, ancient Egypt etc.

Of course the logistics would have to be worked out but they got a lot of land not being used.

To go with the fastest growing part of tourism today: A clothing optinal hotel! :thumbsup2

How about adding the bowling alley to the Sports complex?

-a bowling alley
-a karaoke bar with lots of Disney music
-a trivia bar with strictly Disney trivia, with prizes like pins, free food, etc

And most importantly. They need a meet and greet with Gaston. He's my favorite Disney man. I was never much for princes. (except Prince Eric!) I want my pic with him soooo bad!!!

well i knew when i saw that there were already 4 pages of responses to this thread that the need for good coffee would already be addressed, but i'm going to add my wish for it. too! It doesn't have to be Starbuck's (although that would be great) it just has to be something better than NESCAFE!!!!

Ooh and as someone who is 12 yrs away from retirement age, i love the idea of a retirement home!!!:yay: :yay:

I love the idea of a villain park with thrill rides!!! They could then bring back the villian character meal. We thought the villain character meal was awesome!! Does any one know why they stopped it?:confused3 They could also throw in the bowling alley and casino. Please keep it off the Boardwalk! I have two casinos "in my backyard" in CT.

My vote goes to a Pet Friendly resort too. It doesn't have to be an entire resort. A dedicated wing or floor in each category (Value, Mod, Deluxe) would work for me. Unfortunately, I can't see it happening any time soon. The S/D are two of the very few (if any) Starwood hotels that don't allow pets. The Starwood website says they both do. When I called to inquire about it, I was told Disney wouldn't allow them to accept pets on their property.

This would be so cool! They could tie it in to the Hall of Presidents and other "historical" attractions. Great idea!

Do the disney cruise ships have casinos?

No, they do not ... that space is used for the kids clubs instead. Not adding casinos and using the space for other entertainment is probably the best decision that Disney made when creating DCL ... many repeat DCL cruisers choose DCL time after time for this reason ... along with 100's of other 'magical' reasons.

... not that I'm opposed to adding a Casino in Orlando, I think that is a great idea!! ... just not on DCL (in my opinion)
