What is dinner like at Goofy's Kitchen?

I am trying to decide if this is worth it for us. I know there is often great character interaction, but we go to WDW pretty often so that's not the biggest draw for us. We will have dd5, dd1, me, DH and my mother who is turning 60 while we are at DL.

So, a few questions:
1. How is the food?
2. What kinds of adult dinner options are there?
3. Do they do anything for adult birthdays, like a cake?
4. Do you think it's worth $29/adult?
5. Is it better to go right at 5 when it's quieter?

Hello! My family has only gone to GK once but we LOVE it. It was ME, DH, DD7, and DD 21 months.
1) The food was awesome!
2)There was tons of adult food there. Prime rib, roast potatoes, salads, and chicken fingers...just to name a few. I couldn't remember all the food, but there was lots of variety.
3)I don't know this one, sorry.
4)I am from Canada so we had to pay the $29 but also had to pay more since it was US dollars and not Canadian, but still worth the price to us.
5)We went at 5 and had Goofy and Pluto to ourselves for 10 minutes before other people were seated in our area. I would go at this time again, we got seated right away, the food was fresh and hot. The staff was great as well.

I love dinner at Goofy's. There is usually some sort of Mexican thing, either build your own fajita's or fish tacos. Also, some sort of fish dish, usually salmon as well as past. Then as the other poster mentioned, prime rib, potatoes, soup and a really good salad bar. Last time we were there they had pesto on the salad bar as well as glazed pecans and a very nice raspberry vinegarette. They have a kids table (that anyone can eat off of) that has pizza (regular and peanut butter and jelly pizza), corn on the cob, chicken fingers, hot dogs, popcorn shrimp, mac and cheese and chicken nuggets. They have a fresh fruit bar, soft serve ice cream/frozen yogurt wtih toppings and a dessert bar with cookies, cake, pastries, bread pudding and other stuff.

We have always had very good food and character interaction at Goofy's. Come hungry because at those prices you want to at least try to get some of your money's worth!
