We call BCV home but would like to try VWL for christmas. I am hoping BLT will take some of the pressure off VWL so its easier to get in. If you could share your experiences at chistmas I would appreciate it.

The Villa decorations are just so so, but the WL decorations are beautiful. Gives me warm fuzzies just thinking about it. :santa:

As Jiminy says, "Christmas is everywhere." :)

The decorations are fanastic, and seeing the carolers on returning from the parks is just so wonderful!

The WL is beautifully decorated for Christmas. We've been there as early as November 15th and the tree and decorations have been up.

I think the Villa's atrium is especially nice in December. Sitting in one of the nooks with a fireplace and looking at the beautiful tree is one of my favorite things to do.

We have a ressie for AKV 2bd savanna view for 29Nov-4Dec, but I have been on two waitlists for VWL for almost 2 months, one for the same week and one for the following week.....come on tink send us some pixiedust it looks like we will need it:tink:

We did VWL two years ago in December and the lodge is beautifully decorated. And the atmosphere there is one of the best for Christmas in my opinion. I love the fireplaces, comfy couches, and "lodge" feel.

The decorations are fantastic and I am sure the Villas are quieter since they are removed from the Lodge, but I would never stay at the Lodge during the holidays, it is like staying in Grand Central Station.

Way too many people coming and going for my enjoyment of the lodge.

I've heard about the carollers there before - are they the only resort that has carollers over christmas (we will be at BLT, BC & AKV between 12/11 - 12/23)??

thansk for any info!:thumbsup2

We saw carollers at BCV a few years ago. I would think VWL would be really a great trip for Christmas. I love wispering canyons ribs. I love riding the boat to MK. VWL would be my choice to add on.

My opinion is the exact opposite! One of my favorite things to do at WL during Christmas is before dinner, to have an adult beverage in the main lobby sitting near the tree, listening to the music and watching all the hustle and bustle going on around me! :)

Actually, there is not much I DON’T love about WL/VWL around Christmas!! :santa:

I love this idea...Thanks!!!!!:cool1:

I know that the BW/BWV has community groups caroling or playing instruments on the Village Green. I've also heard a bell choir at WL. You may have to ask for a schedule when you check in, I know I did, it was not in the ordinary Welcome Home packet, perhaps it was an oversight.

I agree Bobbi! The Villa's atrium was so pretty when we were there in early December. I thought the Villa's tree was prettier than the one in the WL lobby. Every time we walked past the tree I was struck by just how beautiful it was.

To the OP: I think it will continue to be difficult to get VWL in December, even with BLT opening this year. VWL is small and the theming is perfect for the holidays. A lot of members added on there to get the 11-month window for December.
