What is best item you have added to or put in your camper?

Well let's see we have a TT...:worship:

1) kitchen size narrow garbage can in the kitchen area
2) white shoe rack from Walmart $3-for all the shoes stored outside the trailer
3) double hook iron rod to hang the "laundry clothes pin hooky from so we can hang our swimsuits and pool/beach towels from to dry:thumbsup2
4) hand vacuum to keep the dirt down from the kids and dh;)
5) disney refillable mugs-saved us some $$ through the yrs.
6) love our outdoor stove on our Outback-was a big selling point
7) our coleman roadtrip grill
8) ez-up canopy for shade-couldn't live without it in the summer and fall (right now-FL) it's hot

I'll stop there...:)

Queen sized air mattress to supplement the foam mattress and my Magic Bullet.

My wife's cpap will run on a 200 watt invertor. We have a large invertor too. but when we run the cpap on the 200 watt invertor we can run it for over a week without recharging the 6 volts.

I was just guessing on the days, I have never actually ran my batteries down hardly at all yet. The furnace fan can drain batteries pretty fast, in my old TT it would drain the battery (group 27) over night in 40 degree weather.

As far as the inverter, I was told not to use anything less than 300 watt pure sign wave inverter for my cpap and going down to disney my sister-in-law had one to so I just got a 1000 watt inverter so we had enough to run both and the heat. I am conservative so I like to make sure I have enough.

We love our griddle, magic bullet, ipod portable hi/fi stereo....and the newest love is Purex 3-n-1 Laundry sheets! No more lugging the detergent /softener/dryer sheets to the comfort station!!

BEER & MARGARITAS!!! Those are the best additions I can think of!

margarita.jpg

we never leave home without one!!

I added an InSinkerator Hot Water Heater to my sink

Plastic Drawers in my closet

I put in a new digital fold down TV (had a TV, but not digital)

I added an AM/FM/XM/CD Player

Had a small hatch cut into the storage area under the bed to store my power cord

Currently have a 2005 Outback 28BHS:

* exterior flush-kit for the black tank (not sure of the exact name of it, but no more dragging the hose through the camper to get to the toilet!)

* replaced all the metal blinds with day/night shades from the mfr. (no more clanking in the bunks when the kids roll over in the middle of the night) ... although I wish the "night" part of the shade was darker, so I tossed a towel over the kids shades in hopes of squeaking out a few minutes more sleep before daylight arrives!

Oh ..... and our Mickey Lamp Post - how could I forget that?!

* if we don't upgrade to a 5th-wheel soon, next on our list is: an RV Sleep-Number bed!!! ... and a satellite dish.

Hooks by the front door for keys, flash lights, dog leashes, potty bags umbrellas and back pack for WDW.

KVH Tracvision in motion satellite.
It is great to be able to turn on one of the tv's in massachusetts and never lose the signal all the way to Disney.
And as we all know sometimes trying to find a signal in Disney can be a challenge "trees", but with that setup if you don't have a signal when you park move ahead, or back up a little and it finds it every time.

DONT KNOW WHY THIS DOUBLE POSTED

We added a toaster oven so we can toast and bake most things without using the oven. We also bought a 20' LP hose so we can run our grill off of one of our RV tanks and not have to buy all of those expensive little tanks.

Hi DisCamper! Where did you get your 20' LP hose? I have been trying to find one but can't find one longer than 12'. Thanks!

My thoughts exactly. I would love to have enough hose to reach from the LP bottles, back to the table we usually set up just aft of the door. There is an outside wall socket there, so we set up the griddle, coffee pot, etc there for outside cooking. I'd like to use my Coleman camp grill there, too, if I could find a hose that would reach.

My favorite things...

Portable campfire pit with a screen cover - I LOVE it. I even use it in the summer in Florida because I love to make s'mores and it keeps the bugs away.

I bought a very nice memory foam topper with a goose down layer. My bed in my RV is even more comforatble than my bed at home!

Several 3M hooks to hang bags, towels...

Things still on my list...

In-motion sat
Sirius input on my radio

I'm sorry one of the best things is the Margharitaville blender

Best thing was probably putting shelves into the closet designed for hanging clothes. We just have never needed to hang any of our clothes!

Also, Thermos Grill-2-Go propane "grill", really more of a griddle. Similar to a Coleman RoadTrip, but a little smaller and lighter.
