We just really liked the name Marin - it was unique and not everyone had heard of it. Kristi is my mom's first name. After we named her Marin, it was pointed out to me that my favorite Grandpa's name was Armin, and her name was just like his except the M was in a different place. It just made her name all that more special to me!

(was supposed to be Travis Cole - but we switched it around and liked it a whole lot better!) Cole is after Cole Trickle in Days of Thunder (Tom Cruise's character)

Evan Michael - Evan because it just sounded cool and Michael is my dh middle name. Also Evan means "to challange" and he really holds to that meaning!!!! LOL!

Noelle Elizabeth - I had a toss up between Claire Elizabeth and Grace Elizabeth but we chose Noelle because you don't hear of that name often.

Also - we are a little wierd - but Cole name end's in E and Evan's name begins with E. Evan's name ends with N and Noelle's name begins with N. Goofy but fun!

Sarah Lee-Ann(14) Daddy named her Sarah Lee. I changed it when he walked out of the room. I wanted to name her Tessie Elizabeth(give me some slack,I was only 18.) Lee is a family name, my husbands, my dads, my 2 brothers, and 4 nephews.

Gregory Aaron(13) He was 2 moths premature so he had no name, so he got Gregory after his daddy and Aaron after his daddy's brother whom passed away at six months old in 1962. I almost named him Cecil jesse jeffrey dean gregory lee hodge. That his his grandpa's name and dad's and his brothers names and his all in one. (Yeah I know remember I was 19 with him.

I'm Rhonda Gail. Rhonda after my grandmother and Gail after my aunt.

Congratulations! Our two boys are Charles Jerome called Charlie (we liked Charlie, middle name after my dad) and Samuel Ray called Sam (middle name is DH's middle name).

When Charlie was born our second choice was William Jefferson (Jefferson after my grandfather and brother), called Will. Then we knew 5 Wills born within 1 year. So when I got pregnant 1 1/2 years later, we changed our minds and named our little one Sam!

Our girl names were Emma Claire or Molly Grace

Olivia Faith: I swear I didn't know ANY Olivia's when we chose her name. We call her Livie Lu.

Delia Hope: Dh and I were fans of Everwood, which is where we got Delia. She's a spitfire just like the character on TV... Dh started to call her "Eber Keneber" when she was a few weeks old. Olivia still calls her that. It's funny to hear her say something like "Eber Keneber pooped her pants" . Dh now calls her Eeb, and I call her E-bear. When she does something really naughty, it's "De-LI-A HOPE"

One of my daughters is named Meghan Elizabeth. Meghan means pearl and it is also a form of Mary which is Jesus's mother's name and Elizabeth means god's promise and is the name of John the Baptist's mother. That is how we came up with her name. Also, I love Elizabeth I

Abigail is very popular in the south, but for the past two years she has not has another one in her class. I call her Tate most of the time anyway. I really wanted to name her Tatum Elizabeth, but dh did not like it. Tatum is his moms maiden name.

Also, I keep hearing that Henry is getting to be popular again, but we have not met another one under the age 50 yet. I LOVE his name.

I looked through this entire thread to see if there was another Tatum or Helen and you were the only one I found! I have to say that a few of my pregnant friends loved the name Tatum but when they talked to the men in their lives about it as a possibility...they were like NO WAY....

I have a Tatum almost 8yrs => I call her Tate a lot...the name was picked from an Anne Geddes' name book..almost went with Olivia but really glad Tatum won out....it fits her perfect!

I also have a Helen Elise 6yrs => went through many names in the hospital because I thought I "knew" it was a boy and had NO girl names picked out...after trying so hard to pick one, I finally thought naming her after my beloved Gramma would be so meaningful...I thought we would cutesy it up by calling her Ellie but it just didn't stick...she is Helen through and through and just like Tatum...it fits her prefectly!

DD10 Scarlett Lynmarie (I knew when I first read Gone with the Wind in 5th grade that my first daughter would be named Scarlett, and her middle name is a combination of the two middle names of my paternal grandparents.)

DD7 Cypress Kendel (We were going on vacation to Florida, and I was looking at any and every possible word for a name. Cypress trees were in the field guide I was reading, and I thought it was pretty. Her middle name was "created" by my mother. She took the first three letters of both of Cypress's grandfathers, Kenneth and Delano, squished them together, and came up with Kendel.)

DS5 Severin Fletcher (We had spent our honeymoon at a hotel that went by his first name. His middle name I came up with while watching Mutiny on the Bounty. Of course it was the version with Clark Gable as Fletcher Christian. Coincidentally, it was also a family name on my mother's side.) We usually call the little guy 'Sevi' (rhymes with heavy).

Emily Grace (Emily has always been a favorite girl name...English teacher and poetry fan...the meaning of Emily is a not as nice as teh others - industrious -so we paired it with a meaningful middle name)

Abigail Faith (dh picked her first name and when I read the meaning - a source of joy - I fell in love with it; plus, my mom is Gayle, so it is also in part for her; middle name was to be similar to her sister's middle name and for an aunt and the meaning)
