What is a Workable budget for WDW?

I am putting money aside each month and I know how much the tickets are and the accommodations, I am wondering if $100. per day is to much or to little as spending money for our family of 5, we are staying in a home away from home so the only meal is lunch that we will be buying in the park.. Should I tuck away more or is that enough in your opinion?

I think the $100 should cover lunch unless you eat at a fairly expensive restaurant. Other food costs might be the occasional snack or drink before or after lunch. Walking in the parks can make one hungry and thirsty.

The other major cost, of course, are souvenirs, like clothing, toys for the kids, or pictures of your family on a ride like Splash Mountain. All of this depends on the individual family of course.

For my family of 4, I'm planning on a $125/day on our visit in a few weeks. I hoping that will be enough.

A lot depends on where you want to eat and what you want to eat. We have gone to WDW on a tight budget, and we have gone when we didn't have to watch the money so close. You can get by with a little, but you can spend a lot.

Often I would split a meal with someone in my family. That saves money (and calories). I always pack some quick snacks for when the kids get hungry in between meals (like crackers or pretzels).

I have found that if I plan ahead by using Deb's website (the link above) I was able to do a better job planning our budget.
