Since I'll be staying at CSR next month, I've been following the posts about the Pepper Market with interest. Seems as if the wet burrito is a favorite of many people. Can someone describe the wet burritos at the Pepper Market?

It is a large burrito filled with chicken or beef, actually they are really good about doing it up how ever you like it, and it is served on a plate with a ladle or two of a dark red sauce over it and then lots of cheese. The sauce is not like enchilada sauce or salsa. I am not sure what it is but is is not very spicy and tastes great.

Thanks, daannzzz, that sounds like something I need to try!

we ate at the fast food Mexican in Epcot.......we had a wet burrito thinking it was a hot mixture in a holder...well it was a cold dish....with sour cream on top.....it wasn't bad...but i like a burrito to be a wee bit warm

DH's mom raved about those burritos, so for our honeymoon we made a special trip to CSR so he could try one. We also made a special trip to CSR again during our last trip so DH could get the burrito again!

Skuttle, I love your countdown caption! Good luck with your last 112 days of Law School.

NanaDarling, just as a sidenote I thought that I'd mention that I have friends who stayed at CSR in December and they said that they really enjoyed the Pepper Market and ended up cancelling a couple of p.s.'s and ate there more often than they had originally planned to.

Pumba, I hate to hear about your cold burrito at the Cantina in Epcot. I always get the taco salad there but my kids got the wet burritos last summer and they were plenty warm. So unless something has changed I think they just messed up on your order. Shame on them! I LOVE burritos but I sure wouldn't want to eat one cold either. The cantina is one of our favorite counter service spots so IF you do ever go back I recommend the taco salad or verifying with them that the burrito won't be cold.

Sounds like it's red chile sauce, which can range from mild to quite spicy. It's made from a powdered form of red New Mexico chile. A sauce is also made from cut up green chiles. In our state, if you order a burrito, you get asked "red or green"? We'll have to go try them and see if they're the real deal!
