What is a URL? & why cant I use them

Im trying to do a trip report...it wont let me post because I have one or more URL's (i have no idea what this is) Can anyone tell me so I can remove it from the post?

A URL is just a web address, starts with "http"

Just try copy and pasting your whole post into another post.

I tried responding to another trip report (with no URL in my post) and I received a message with something saying something similar to I haven't been a member long enough to post a message with URLs.

Made no sense to me.
