I keep seeing threads on here referring to throwaway rooms. What are these? Is there a thread that explains this?
I tried to find one, but didn't see a general thread on this. If there is one, can someone link me to it.
We are heading to Orlando in July. I am trying to decide if I need to splurge on a premiere hotel to get the universal pass. It's $800 more for our 2 day stay with only 1 day in the park.
We have two people with disabilities, so we may need to use their version of DAS. Does that mean we would not need a premier.

Sorry I think I got a little off topic of my thread there at the end. If there is a way to get less expensive rooms, I'm very interested.

People call it a throwaway room because they book the room usually for one night and don`t stay in it.

They get the room as you would get Unlimited Express Pass access for up to 5 people in one standard room for 2 full days and it can work out cheaper to do that than buy EP for everyone for their park time. You also get EE with all the hotels not just the premiers.

You still have to go check in to get the room keys which is your EP, you show it as you enter the ride and everyone who is registered in the room will have a key with their name and date of stay on it. Only one person has to go pick up the room keys, everyone doesn`t have to be there, but you can check in from around 6am in the morning so everyone can take advantage of EE.
