What is a referral?

I've noticed in each DISer's profile, there is a # of referrals, what is this?

I would like to know. It sounds bad. I have one and can't think why, I have never used foul words or been mean to anybody on here. Its mind boggling. If anyone has an answer please share.

When you point this site out to someone, they can acknowledge it by giving you a referral.

I've always thought the same thing. I thought, "Oooooooo, that person got BUSTED!!"

Hi neighbor, you'd be surprised how many people from our area are DISers. I've spoken to people from Mandeville, Marrero, Algiers, Kenner, and I've found many who have relocated elsewhere!!

You have to go into a DISers profile and under forum info the last item states Referrals: and I assume if you tell a friend about the DIS boards and they become a member you get a referral!!
