We are going down in 4 weeks and this sounds interesting! Our 3.5 daredevil dd is now 40" tall and will likely be going on some 'big' rides (or atleast Goofy's Barnstormer) for the first time1

Thanks!

My youngest daughter will be able to ride a few more attractions now too as she has just reached 40" and was 4 in January (she's quite small for her age!!)
I would love to get a magical moments certificate for her that can be framed in her room.

My nephew got one for introducing the British Invasion a couple of years ago, and one was issued to my daughter for her first ride on Splash Mountain last year.
In the latter case my wife simply went to guest relations and asked if they didn't have anything special for an occasion such as this. I thought she was wasting her time, but sure enough, 10 minutes later she left City Hall with one that is now hanging in my daughter's bedroom.

They are roughly A4-sized, and this one has the 100 Years of Magic logo on it. It says "Through the miles and over the years you will always remember this Magical Moment from the Walt Disney World Resort". The Guest Relations CM went backstage to have one or several character CMs personalize it and sign it with Mickey's, Minnie's, Donald's, Pluto's and Goofy's signatures.

ok, I tried the search so I could get more info, but it's disabled so now I have to ask. Does anyone know if you can get one of these for a child's first trip to Disney World? I would love to get one for my daugter.

TIA

My daughter got 2 last June. Both were a surprise from CM's. One was while we did the Behind the seeds tour at Epcot. She answered and asked many questions and the cm was impressed with her query's so she handed her a certificate near the end of the tour.

She got one for something else but don't remember right now. Just on my 1/2 hour lunch break. Don't have time to think fast.

wdwguide, where is the guest relations? Is there one at each park? My dd6 is finally tall enough to ride RNR . She's been looking forward to it for 3 years. I think it would be nice to surprise her with one. Thanks.

Where can you get one of these from? How? Can you ask to see if the characters will sign it?:bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Each of our daughters received a Magical Moments certificate in the mail the week after we returned from WDW. It was sent from the WL after we had been the Flag raising family. Each certificate had their name on it and "Flag raising Ceremony" in the Magic moment blank.

My youngest daughter also got one while we celebrated her birthday at CRT. They brought it about halfway through our meal along with a small chocolate cake that was big enough for the 2 girls to split. It had white frosting and multi-colored Mickey head confetti on it. She was able to get the rest of the Princesses that came by the table to sign it along with her book. She was very happy to get it.

BTW I didn't ask for anything special at CRT for her birthday. They just ask at the check-in desk how old the children are and when asked I responded "Well as of today she is 4. It's her birthday". They did the rest on their own.

My DGD recieved 2 on our 2001 trip. One for opening Magic Kingdom and one for "starting" Illuminations at the Rose & Crown. Last October she got one in Morraco, but I'm not sure what for as I wasn't with her at the time, my DD was.

I could be wrong, but I'm of the impression the Magical Moments Certificates aren't really anything you can just ask for. I think it's left up to the CM's to issue them when they feel the time it right.

My DS got one for riding RNR the first time. I was waiting in line to by the picture (which wasn't that good) and while we were waiting I mentioned to the guy that this was his first ride and Bam he gave him a magical moments certificate. I am not sure that you can "ask" for one, but it probably wouldn't hurt to "mention" that this is a "first ride", a "birthday", or whatever special occassion it happens to be.

two of my three children have gotten a Magic Moments certificate. Each time was a surprise--my daughter got one for her first trip. We were in one of the shops at Downtown Disney and the CM asked if was her first trip (it was) and she had one under the counter to personalize for us :) My son was in one of the acts on the Boardwalk and got one for participating. I think it is one of those "right place, right time" kind of things...good luck!

My ds got one at epcot i think it was in inovations, he helped with a science experiment and the Cm gave him one with his name on it and what he did to get it.

Our Family got one on our last trip at the Liberty Tree Tavern. We were the family who got to ring the dinner bell and announce that dinner was now being served. My ds's then 6 & 3 got to ride stick horses and introduce the charcters. We also got a picture of our family with all the charcters, which we love.:D

Not sure if it is a magical moments certificate or not, I will have to look, but DD got a certificate last summer when she got to wake up Tinkerbell for the day.

My DD got a Magical Moments certificate at the All Star Music last January. The CM sent her on a mission to tell Dopey (when she saw him) that his broom was in the gift shop at the ASM. She found Dopey the next day and got her certificate and a cast member pin with Dopey on it.

We have it framed and hanging in her room :).

I got a Magical Moments certificate for my daughter. We gave it to her, with a costume and an invitation from Alice to the Tea Party. She was thrilled.

My son has two of them. Both for opening the MK and saying the magic word.

My girls each have a Magic Moments Certificate for acting in the Storytime with Belle (they were chip and Mrs. Potts). At the end of the day, I went to guest relations (a window to the right of the turnstiles at the entrance to MK) and asked for one for each of them. The CM came back a moment later with two certificates. It's a little smaller than 8x11" and it has a blank line on it for the child's name, "your magical moment" and "awarded by." Our say storytime with Belle and is signed by belle, all in blue crayon. It's very cute and my kids love theirs.

If your visiting DAK, head over to Tarzan Rocks. The cast members pick 1-2 children to be queen and/or king to start the show. They pick randomly. The children receive a certificate, free ice cream and a card for a free happy meal at any McDonalds (except the one at AK). Also at Pocahontis, you can get a Animal Kingdom certificate for help starting the show. They ususally pick from the front of the line so be there early. About 10 minutes before the show they will come and ask for volunteers to help start the show. Usually it is anywhere from 1-4 children ages 4-10. They have to be able to take simple directions from the stage manager and sit by themselves in the front row. Sometimes there is a cast member walking around Africa that will quiz children on pictures of animals, and they give a certificate for that as well. Hope this helps and hope I didn't give away to much info.

DS got one on our first trip in '01 for being the Special Guest at the Awakening in AK. I'm not sure if you can ask for these though. His was pre-printed esp. for the Special Guest of the day. He also got one for his 7th B-day last year at the Garden Grill in Epcot.
