With all the talk about discounts I would love to know what is a good rate at CBR? We (DH and 3 DD) are thinking about going to WDW this year. We are going next April for a land and sea and if we go this year we don't want to spend to much money. I think that we may be too big to stay at the all-stars, our youngest is still in a crib. (I don't know this for sure, I just have been reading others posts) Thanks guys!!

I think the best rate we ever got was $94 a night during regular season last May; we were able to get $114 a night this March during peak season. I think we did alright:)

Wow, $94 is amazing, I called and got $169 for March and $144 for June... what am I doing wrong?

I'm waiting for CBR rates to come down (hopefully). I keep checking the Internet everyday in hopes of pouncing on a discount. I've got my fingers crossed.

those are rack rates you are being quoted so, to answer your question, anything below that is a good rate!

Right now, there are no room-only discounts available for the general public, but there may be in the near future. If you have the Disney Visa, you can get a rate of $89 per night for stays through 7/4. Keep checking Mousesavers.com and these boards for info on resort discounts.

Thanks for your help... I will check out mousesavers and see if I cn get some of these discounts.

r3angels -
We were able to use the CTN code but unfortunately it ended on 2/9/04 so we got the $114 a night and we requetsed the room that we had last year (don't think that will happen since they may not have realized it is a preferred room) but it doesn't hurt to try.
I believe they have a similar discount if you have a Disney Visa and use it to book your trp - they also have the upcoming buy 4 nights get 3 free for all resorts - I know a couple of used that special last August and booked AKL and saved some $$$. Good luck - mousesavers.com is definitely your best bet:)

CHECK THIS OUT - this gives and $89 a night rate for standards rooms at moderates. Unfortunately, we do not have a Disney Visa but thought someone could enjoy these savings if they have one:

Disney's Visa cardholders can ask for Code CTV and get special room-only rates for stays 4/18/04-7/4/04. Save $30 per night at Value resorts, $55 per night at Moderate resorts, and $105 per night at Deluxe resorts. Sample rates:

Ft. Wilderness - $45 full hookup campsite, $164 cabin
Value resorts - $69 standard
Moderate resorts - $89 standard
Animal Kingdom Lodge - $134 standard, $155 pool view, $210 savannah view
Contemporary - $159 garden wing standard, $180 garden view, $265 tower
Polynesian - $239 garden view, $325 lagoon view
Boardwalk, Beach/Yacht Club - $224 standard, $290 water view, $375 concierge garden view, $425 concierge water view
Other resorts, room types and views are available at varying prices!
Deposit must be charged on Disney's Visa at time of booking. You must book by 4/17/04 and rates are subject to availability.

Two years in a row, during the last week in August we got CBR King bed for $109.00 including tax etc...

We have the 89.00 a night for standard room deal. Quite happy since we were origionally going to be at the POP for 99.00 a night.

Maybe the AP rates will be better, but I doubt it ;-)

Wow, those are great rates. So, if I just mention the code and put on my Disney Visa it will work.
