what is a family room please?

I was looking at the booking pages to get an idea of prices and they give you options of different types of room, so what is a family room? There was no link to explain it like the other kinds of room, if anyone can help i'd be grateful, thank you thank you!

A family room has a great occupancy than the standard room maximum of 4. Therefore idea for mum, dad and 3 children

Yes you would be fine with that compliment of people. Mind you under 3's are classed as infants and do not count towards room occupancy therefore 3 adults, 1 child and 1 infant is allowed in a standard room.

The family room does not cost quite as much as two rooms but it is more expensive

My understanding is that there are only family rooms at the DLH and the Newport. At the Newport, the family rooms are on the concierge level whereas at the DLH, they are not.
