What is a dole whip?

Been hearing how much people love it but don't know what it is or whats so special about it.

Its a wonderful pinapple soft-serve icecream. They also have pineapple floats (pineapple icecream in pineapple juice)but i've never tried one, they looked good though. But its pretty much pineapple icecream but its the best icecream I've ever had at disney.

No, it is smooth, like normal soft-serve. Although sometimes it doesn't seem as thick and "dairy-like" as other soft serve, but more like a smooth sorbet. Kind of hard to describe!

I especially like the pineapple dole whip float - which is pineapple dole whip served in pineapple juice. Very refreshing!

I second that--on a hot, summer day, when sodas just won't quench your thirst, go for a pinapple float. Refreshing!

Hate to be a wet blanket here but I have to admit that I didn't like it. After reading all the glowing reviews here on the DIS I decided to try one. Just not my cup of tea I guess. Although I am not a big lover of pineapple so I guess that probably had something to do with it. Different strokes for different folks I suppose...And oh BTW my DH finished it and loved it...
