what is a dole whip in the MK?

I told my husband that I wanted to get a dolewhip in the MK.. and he wants to know exactly what it is... so we thought we would ask here? I always have heard great things about it..

Its a delicious soft ice cream type treat. This thing is really good. You get it at a kiosk at the entrance to Adventureland. It comes in different flavors but they are all pineapple based. You can get straight pineapple or vanilla or pineapple vanilla swirl, which is my personal favorite. I don't remember if there are more flavors...anyone else?

A Dole Whip is heaven with a straw (and a spoon!) Its a non-dairy pineapple whipped concoction. Kind of like a lighter version of frozen yogurt. Its light and refreshing and very, very yummy. I prefer mine as a float: half dole whip, half pineapple juice!

I would agree with Curiouser. All you can say is they are HEAVEN with a straw. A trip just wouldn't be a trip without a Dole Whip.

Yes use the snack credit for a Dole Whip. (which is the smoothy looking snack w/o the juice)

But... if you're thirsty AND thrifty....you can also use the snack credit for the "Dole Whip Float" (has the juice) which was pictured yummily above.

The excitement of Dole Whips is making this thread go off in all directions.

So just to keep this straight, let me summarize for those who have not had the pleasure of consuming these pineapple delights.

1. The Dole Whip "Store" (a couple of windows in the side of a building, really) is called "Aloha Isle".

2. Aloha Isle is located in Adventureland, just inside from the Hub, across the walkway from the Swiss Family Treehouse.

3. It is the only place in all of WDW to get a Dole Whip.

4. "Dole Whip" is the ICE CREAM (soft serve) treat, itself.

5. "Dole Whip Float" is pineapple juice with the Dole Whip added to it (floating in the juice).

6. You can order the Dole Whip alone (which is what we prefer) or you can order the "Float".

Regardless, the Aloha Isle is always listed on my WDW itinerary...
Gotta have at least one Dole Whip, per trip (are you hip?)

Also, if you don't care for pineapple (I know - blasphemy!) Aloha Ilse also has chocolate and vanilla soft serve and they have root beer floats too!
They also will do any combination of soft serve (chocolate, vanilla, pineapple) for the floats if you ask.

Wow do these sound good, both versions! We aren't going to WDW until Jan and I'm already telling my dh that we have to hit this place, I'm writing down the location and he thinks I'm totally nuts. I can't wait.

I had read on the boards about Dole Whips and made it one of my must do's. Finally on our last day of vacation, third day at MK, we finally made it there. It was the very last thing we did and ate (drank) while watching the late Spectromagic. It was our last night there, I can still taste it! My children were very happy to order chocolate and vanilla but my Dole Whip float was the best and well worth the wait.

The Dole Whip FLOAT is much, much better than just the plain old Dole Whip.

Don't get me wrong, the Dole Whip is pretty good (although I think a little overrated), but it's KILLER as a float in the pineapple juice.................
