What is a Disney Guide?

I am waiting for ROFR so I don't know the info on these things. I have read a lot of people using the phrase about talking to their guides and don't know what that means. Could someone help me out? Thanks

They are DVC salespeople. I think they're called "guides" because they take you on the DVC tour if you want to buy through Disney. Our first "guide" took us on a little tour at least.

A DVC guide is a common term used for the DVC sales consultants. They are employed by DVC and sell points.

When you buy through Disney they give you a guide to help you through and answer all your questions.

I found the people who sold me my resale, Jaki and her son Kem at A timeshare broker were extremely helpful. I never missed having the Disney Guide, they answered all my questions and have an 800 number to contact them easily.

I'm curious how you get involved with one if you have not been to the resort in a while. I am waiting on a ROFR, but if it does not go through then I may buy directly from them and do not want to lose out because I am not being represented.

I'd suggest asking on the Dis-Boards who people have for a guide and why they are good. You will get many replies and you can essentially call one of them on your own and introduce yourself. They will then be your "Guide".

This would be the case as long as you didn't have one assigned to you a long time ago.

Or you can just call the main DVC number and they'll assign you a Guide.
