What is a Battery?

As in a battery park? What does it look like? Hey, give me a break. Syracuse isn't that big. LOL.

Okay, my DH is playing a video game, and he is supposed to be looking for a battery.

I'm pretty sure it's a military term. It's an organizational term like batallion or platoon. I do however reserve the right to be wrong.

You guys are good-My DH is in a Field Artillery Battery-the definition provided is very good-generally a battery for 155MM towed howitzers consists of 6 guns and and men and material required to support them. A Battery Park is usually a park that has been created around an area where a battery of artillery was once implaced-usually overlooking a port, river dock or major road intersection that would have needed to be protected-Your DS should get a little lesson in military history here.

Battery Park is the southern tip of Manhattan, so that's where he'd want to go if the game takes place in NYc
