I need a cheap, but reputable provider. AOL is too expensive, but I did see that netzero is $10/mo and Peoplepc is $10/mo. I won't be using the internet all that much so dial-up is fine by me. Any other companies that are that cheap?

Heidi: My dad has netzero and has had nothing but problems. Of course, he is a computer novice, worse than me. My brother, the electrical engineer, talked him into it. I keep trying to get him to switch to AOL since it is so user friendly.

Had PeoplePC for a few years. They were OK, except they kept creeping up the monthly charge. We would contact their customer service after every increase and tell them that we didn't want it, and they would lower us back down to the advertised rate, but it was a pain to have to do it. Other than that, the service was great, no connect problems or anything. We just got rid of it when we realized we could get a single cable modem and service and network our machines for cheaper that the 2 dial-up accounts and the extra phone line for the 2nd computer.

I have wmconnect.com (Wal-Mart). I've had it for a few years and am very happy with it. It's $10 a month.
