What in the world are CROCS?

Yeah, they are hideously ugly shoes that people on these boards seem to love. I don't know what they're made of, but it looks like day-glo rubber. They are supposed to be really comfortable.

Yea, and too heinous :crazy2: for me to even consider wearing no matter how comfortable! Haha!

Sad to say after seein so many rav reviews about the crocs I went out an bought a pair yesterday. Got the beach crocs. I'm not impressed what little walkin I did today I can't imagine wearing them all day in the parks.

I bought the size medium cause my foot was literally swimmin in the large even tho I have a very wide foot. Med a bit short. The toe box is not tall enough shoe is rubbin the tops of my toes slightly, top of arch is rubbin a bit. I've seen reports that ppls feet don't sweat in them mine sure did but I did have on socks that might have made a diff.

I was wantin them for my up comin disney visit as I have many back leg and feet problems (Sure sucks when your body decides it doesn't like you anymore) think I gonna try to get my money back least a gift card and hold out for something else maybe a shoe I can buy in my size. LOL never been made yet prolly won't be.

Least my foot did fit in the crocs without them being 3 sizes to big. Never before have I gotten my foot in a shoe of any kind then had it to short foot to wide for that to happen.

I was just at payless shoes today and they had a spin off of crocs (just as ugly) Does anyone know if the payless are just as compfy?

I got a pair of the Payless and find them very comfy. Dont have a pair of Crocs to compare to, but I like them. Bought a 9 and my toe hit the top a little, tried the dryer thing and it worked, almost making them too small. Might try a 10 and then dryer thing. Wore them all day at Busch Gardens 2 days after I got them and didnt have a single problem- and I have a bad back that gets stiff after standing or walking too long!

I just ordered my first pair -- the Caymen's in Butter. I wanted to try the Payless version first to see if I like them but I've made multiple trips to every Payless in our area and they are always out of size 6 - except in orange which is a bit bright for me. I have a lot of lower back and hip pain and am really worried about how I'll be able to do all of the walking at WDW this time -- maybe these shoes will help a bit.

I have both Crocs and Payless and I can't tell the difference - they are both comfy!

I saw some at WalMart the other day and felt of them and they were NOT the same (hard plastic).

The ones with holes look so silly though. They remind me of shoes I wore when I was a kid. They were made of plastic and had glitter in them. If they feel as good as everyone says I might try them even though DH would totally make fun of me. They look hot though. I can't stand sweaty feet . :crazy2: Are they hot ?

The bad news is that the ones with holes are not hot, but the ones without holes are. I love my Aspens (without holes) for the winter, but I know I won't be able to wear them in the summer - you really need those holes for ventilation then!

The interesting thing about the Crocs with holes (Beach or Cayman) is that even though my feet occasionally sweat in them (I'm remembering walking off the Tower of Terror with trembly knees and sweaty feet in my Crocs!), they never smell. It's amazing to me. Most of the time, though, my feet don't sweat in them, because of the air circulating from those silly-looking holes. :rotfl:

BTW, I just love the Homer quote in your siggie!

Ok....not to be gross but.....in the heat don't your feet sweat and doesn't this make them uncomfortable to wear? Please explain.

Also, I have flat feet and need really good arch supports...do these have them?

Thanks.

No, most of the time my feet do not sweat in my Crocs in the heat of Florida summer, because they're ventilated from the air holes. Under certain extreme circumstances my feet have sweat in them, but they dry quickly (once again, because of the air from the holes).

They have an orthotic footbed that provides good support, but my hubby thinks it's not enough for his feet - you might just have to try them on to decide for yourself.

I saw Rosie O'Donnel with a pair on when she was on Martha :) My husband hates my crocs! They are so comfy!

Deb
That's enough for me to hate them, but they are incredibly ugly to boot.
It's kinda like spandex on a heffer. Do you not have a miror in your room.
